I don't think that family support is anything to be ashamed of - I'm older than you, and my family still helps me - and if they helped me with my car, it might not suck.

Take that headstart and use it, and if you have kids, give them the same jumpstart. It's what family is for.

But do understand that the reason you're not using your own income to eat and have a place to stay and keep gas in your tank and all that crap, is because of them - one way or another, it's their help.

I know my parents help me out..absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, i am 15 years old. but i do pay for 85% or more of the things on my car, and i pay for everything i can. Of course when i have kids i will give them a jumpstart...a good one. I really don't understand why people think its so bad, lol.

Anyways, my car is running fine and i just have to bleed the clutch to drive it. I should have a video driving it tomorrow, i will update.

sorry for the lack of updates.

I drove the car a few times, found a coolant leak from one of the hoses under my intake manifold. once i fix that im going to get a tune ASAP because the car does not run well in the cold because it was tuned in 102 degree weather.

Update

So i got to drive the car up the street, it was awesome. feels so good to drive this thing after all the hours I've put into it.

I found a coolant leak, under the intake manifold. I pulled the intake off and got the hoses off. those hoses have no wiggle room at all. pain in the ass. i gotta buy new hoses(anyone know of any kits or anything)? gonna replace them all while im there.

Also fixing my quarterpanel the right way after i learned a lot more because i recently fixed a qp at school. Pics

Taken apart..

Who ever tried to fix this before i had the car just filled it with filler..like 2 inches thick of filler.

Update.. got a few things done

Picked up these extended control arms by 1"

Also cleaned up that crazy fuse box area mess of wires
from this

to this

then dropped my exhaust to get the subframe out. I also am gonna have the exhaust shop remove the magnaflow res cause i asked for 3" all the way but he was just trying to me nice but that gives it a muscle car sound.
then dropped the subframe. much easier than i thought.

Hey guys, a quick little update.

After work today i went to the shop and started taking apart the subframe. I got every single piece off except 1 bolt on the lower control arm is stuck on the bushing so thats being a bitch.

My plan is to take the subframe and all the other suspension pieces to school this week, sandblast them, spray paint them, install new bushings and welded diff, and put it all back together.

The new coolant hoses should be here this week so i can tackle that part too.

New rotors looking nice

everything off except getting that 1 bolt off

And everything thats been taken off

I wouldn't just spray paint it, I'd put something decently thick on it since it's under the car

For my intake manifold hoses I used a kit from this site and haven't had any issues so far. my friend just picked up a kit as well from them.

http://super-wow.com/shop/?page_id=11

The kit is produced by a member on this site as well. om3ga is his screen name.

I know man, i would get it all powder coated but just dont really have the money..i think it will hold up fine with a lot of coats of primer and a lot of base and clear.

I actually just ordered some silicone hose and cut them to size and they worked fine. thanks though.

I got the subframe 100% disassembled and I just have to remove all the bushings so they can be sent off for sandblasting.

I installed the new coolant hoses last night but forgot to take a pic. Hopefully thats the last time ill have to fix something engine wise.

Nice build man. I just bought my 91 hatch for $1300 spotted it sitting in a guys yard, so I left a note on it;p I'm almost 15 and this is my second s13. Possibly buying a mk3 supra later today for the 7M swap into my 240..

Yea kinda. 1986. Shit paint and okay Interior. I got a good deal on it tho. It has some sort of a problem. Bogs out after 1/4 throttle. The guy said it drives just not well. So idk I'll check it out today. I'll get it running right before I swap it into my 240 of course. Should be a simple fix. Could just be injectors or some shit, who knows. Got it very cheap so even if it's like a $300 fix. The total cost will still be less than just an engine. I'll probably end up parting out the supra shell or trading for a rough hardbody truck shell and drop my ka in that

Edit: hell. I might even just fix and flip the supra and buy suspension parts for the s13 and then go KA-T

Great job on the build so far! I know some people probably already have told you this but be carefully about how low your body kit sits. It might look cool sitting still but it will make it harder to drive. I have to go across some speed bumps at an angle to keep from bottoming out. If you sit to low you won't be able to turn into some stores either without scraping the kit, if their is a hump at the entrance. Just a heads. The car looks nice man! What motor is in it?
