Not sure if you knew, but the ARC front and rear sways you have are most likely Auto Refine Co. Not Abbey Road Company. There are two ARC. Just throwing it out there since people are talking about his ARC goodness which is abbey road company.

Yep, I do believe they are Auto Refine Co., we had a talk about this on another board not too long ago. Was news to me at the time, but I think some of it is definitely "lost in translation"

Installed the Defi Link, need to find a dual A pillar pod, surprisingly a little difficult to find.

So used a 180SX ive had sitting in a closet for 10 years now for the mean time.

about got the cash to send my block down to the machine shop.

Been playing with LED's and installing them for the cluster trim buttons

Installed a Tension rod brace today.

Then when I wasnt paying attention my crank pulley ate a rag... knew it was missing but couldnt see it until I was driving and hear a strange noise....

kinda experimenting with this not sure if I like it or not. Kinda looks like a backwards Italian Flag... haha

and just bought a "Stout Type R" hood off the auctions .... Damn you YAJ

Nice progress, looking forward to more updates. The car would look so much cleaner without the sticker, eyelids and fogs, front seems very busy but nonetheless cool GTR!

Yeah I was just thinking about that yesterday, But I like the eyelids and the Fogs but probably gonna take off the stripes. I wanna buy a body kit but need to finish the engine fist.

I second this. There is a lot going right with the car, I'm sure it must be amazing to drive. But just those little changes, I'd think, would make a great difference. I'm sure someone can photoshop that. Keep up the great work and awesome hood even in current condition

Yeah the hood is a kinda game changer in the way of looks but it is functional. Cold Air inlet, Radiator Vent, and Turbo Heat vent. Fairly nessecary since it gets hot as fuck under that hood. In the Winter when snow falls on the hood it's so hot that the hood steams when snow hits it lol.
The hood is rough and needs/will be painted but unfortunately if you guys have followed my previous builds you will know how I am with paint hahah

But i will look into seeing how much ill cost to get painted the OEM color, if not too expensive here I will get it done.

I washed the hood last night and pulled off the ARC stripes and think it does look a little better now.

No stripes much is better. Not crazy about the hood not being finished, but very curious about under hood temps. Are the temps really that crazy high? It sounds like something I need to monitor with my R32, it was 96 today with a real time feel of 106F, so heat is a general concern here for everything.

I think I may have to invest in some Flex-a-lite 220s again too then....

The Hood will be painted just not yet till after I get the engine finished.

Temps are a bit Hotter for the GT-R due to the Twin Turbos, power difference, and load that get put on it (heavier chassis). The stock is a Light weight thin aluminum hood with small amount of insulation so that one reason it gets pretty hot.

But RB's do like to run hot naturally so any venting can help. My S14 runs faily cool with a Nismo Thermo, N1 water pump and Koyo Raditator, in high 90's*F outside temps, engine temps runs around mid 80*C til i hit the highway, then it go arouns mid 90*C.

I would keep the clutch fan, just upgrade to a good radiator and maybe a Nismo Thermo and you should be fine

I wish I had a Defi Coolant temp gauge to see what the temp difference was, Maybe when I get one Ill do a test to see how much a differnce it makes

Taking those rusted catches off and giving it a bath helped it a lot. Doesn't look that bad at all now. What's the side profile like?

Good stuff. had a CA forever ago so I'm pretty used to these engines that like to Run hot, guess I need to order one of those ARC or Blitz radiators I keep coming across on the auctions.

ARC Radiator those damn things are expensive. I got lucky and got mine for 22,000Y.
Very nice Rads though.

Got the Latched installed today and holy fuck it was hot....

My ass got burnt soo bad.

Aero Catch style latches are barely usable on R32's, Pins are completely bottomed out
