my progress. welded some holes shut and smoothed out a bunch of parts of the bay. and since the metal warped worse than i thought i had to use filler on the sides of the tubs.

next is primer and seam sealer over all the welds and sharp corners on both sides of the bay...

Nice tubs people.

If anyone can answer this please tell me.

What welder are y'all using at home to do the tubs?

A few companies sell custom overflows and reservoirs. Chasebays is one that comes to mine. You can also make your own if you're good with welding. Most use some sort of custom tank.

take your favorite beverage container, drill a whole in the top/lid/cap for the hose, and mount it somewhere. looks cool/custom and adds your own personal touch to the car.

^ Yep. That's a fairly popular touch for those who drink Monster and those other larger canned beverages. For those who like professional looking stuff, they can be custom made or bought pretty much anywhere. I'm sure FRSport or some other vendor can either source one or currently already sells one.

On a side note, does anyone have measurements on tubular fronts? I know I saw a mock blueprint laying around before. Can't seem to find it anymore.

If you have the room, Summit sells nice ones you can either weld/get welded to your rad (aluminum ofc) or mount it extremely close to the rad...

Something like this is what I use, but I forgot which one I have:

I'd also like to know what welders you guys are using. Is a millermatic 135 fine for welding tubs? or what about a 170/180 miller? Id also like to use it for making a crash bar and putting plates on my lca's. Any input is helpful.

That's an insanely good seam job man. Or was that body filler to mold it?

^ Your paint turned out quite a bit nicer than mine! I should have thinned mine out quite a bit more, and bought higher quality paint. Your seam sealing is very clean too! I gotta step my game up LOL

Thanks man, it took me a while to tub the bay and prep it before the paint. I just like doing thing right the first time around. I'm just wires that way, I'm really anal about stuff like that.
