So has the car on it power tune today, I've specifically asked the tuner to tuned the car for low and mid range power and driveability. Pretty much got what I wanted but the day once again cut short by a blown gearbox . Here hoping that it will hold out just for today but it wasn't meant to be. Look like the next few months will spend sorting out the brakes, the gearbox and suspension yay.




Didn't get a chance to test the new tune but comparing to the last dyno graph it should be alot better to drive (check out the torque graph). The last dyno line that got cut is when the gearbox let go.

Did you have the stock S15 box behind that motor? If so you should've known that it was just a matter of time before it popped. What trans are you going to run now? A lot of guys run the Z32 gearbox behind their SR in the states, including me.

Im running the updated Z33 transmission on my sr22ve-t with the new maxworx adapter plate. The updated transmission is rated to hold more than the Z32.

you do need to have the bell housing machined, but since im putting it in a Z, I didnt need some of the kit (driveshaft, mounts, modified shifter location) so mine was a bit cheaper than what the real price would be. here is a break down of what it cost me.

shipping: 250

Adapter plate/hardware: 400.00

Machining: 320.00

Clean/inspect/transmission: 1100.00 includes anything that might need to be changed internally or externally

That's reasonable price if $1100 is included the z33 gearbox as well.

That's alright was expected just not while on the dyno those. At least we got some power tune in, I mean I'm happy the power it made but more so the torque figure and the rpm it made it at. Just can't wait to fix the GB and test the new tune out.

yeah, it included the whole transmission. The transmission is spotless and everything looks great on it that mazworx did.

Boostbus180 came over to help me put on the brakes today (thanks for your help buddy), we managed to put the front on and we'll be tackling the rear tomorrow. Everything was sweet until we trial fit the rim on...basically the caliper is faulting on the inner edge of the rim. So we ended with a situation where we either have to down size the front brakes or get new rims. After a bit of head scratching I decided to go with the latter.

Just a small update, wheels are about 4wks away, gearbox conversion is here in brisbane depot but abit of hold up so should be arriving on Tuesday.

Otherwise I have got most of the stuff required to finish the job.

BM57 off an R33gtr.

With the Zeal coilover I've only ever been able to get ~3.5 -ve camber, which is fine with my previous setup. But with the new setup I would prefer to have the ability to increase this if need be, so I brought the whiteline front camber bolt which is +/-1.5 degree.





Been hearing stories about aluminium wheel nuts coming off, so brought some chromium molybdenum steel from Top Fuel which quite light in weight. Plus this should suit the new wheel to the tee.

Why the hell would you even want to run more than -3.5 camber? You realize that not even your homeboy Mark Webber and Red Bull run more than that on their F1 car? There's a reason for that.

Otherwise, looks nice, should be a fun toy when she's done.

Heaps of race cars run more than 3.5 on the front bro.. Depending on setup and track layout 3.5 can easily be run..

i have 4.5 on the fronts of my car, which has yielded me both faster times at the track and more even tyre temp and wear..

My cousin that races with the higher NASA road racing guys said that some guys run up to -5 degrees of camber.
