Well, the thing is I'm looking to dial out some camber, because I want a little more of my dinky 215 tire to be on the pavement, since going up to a 235/40 for me is not a viable idea right now.

And I don't want the stupid wheels to stick out like an inch past the fenders either.

Just like Bill's car right here, this is pretty much the perfect fitment:

Harness is tucked, there was a problem at the last event with the harness but it has since been tucked and secured better. And we saw what you saw with the 3/4" lower and V lowered it about a week ago lol. Good eye goooood eye!

I don't like the sound of that.
Well they cut out 2 slots in the top of the shock tower, and increased the length on the pillow ball slots. Then they weld on a thick ring around each cut. So the top of the tower pretty much looked like Mickey mouse, goofy yes, but effect. This way you don't loose any chassis strength (or at least that is what they say).

Seemed like a pretty neat idea, but i have yet to see anyone else replicate it. I might just stick to make the bottom hole on the coils eccentric for now.

when you need to notch your shock towers, you're running too much camber... i'd just get adjustable lca's.

Lowered the front of the car more...and the rear actually since I last posted pictures in here.

My hood is off because I was taking pictures of my freshly painted valve cover.

Two different types of shots, haha.

17X10 +7 245/40/17
17X11 +12 255/40/17

The car is dirty as fuck, I just washed it and am redoing a shoot this weekend.

I notched the lower mount on my coils for more camber. But the lower mount on the coilovers I have is steel. It gives you a fairly ridiculous amount of camber. I did it just to get more camber than my camber plates were allowing. I got the car aligned a few days after so don't flame. I thought it was pretty ridiculous and looked kind of BOSO. With the camber plates pushed all the way positive the alignment machine read -6.6 degrees of camber and in these photos the camber plates were maxed out negative.

same camber all around and proper wheels would look neat. not for drift but just to look at.

I don't like the sound of that.
D1 drift competitor Tommy Roberts does it

so does FD/D1 Matt Powers

but they didn't notch the bolt holes for the shock tower they notched out holes for the camber bolts on the camber plates so i can go further safely.

people who are really low and want to have a close to proper alignment will do this.

They're actually 18x10 -12, I have 20mm fenders and s14 lca's. In the pic it has a 235/40/18, they now have 225/40/18's mounted. They barely clear the harness from the firewall on the drivers side. More pics from my car later.
