Seriously excited to see more benchmarks in the coming weeks. I've already decided on a Threadripper 1900X and a Gigabyte Aorus X399, probably paired with a SLi 980Ti's unless the Vega 64 drops and is awesome. X399 platform should be a great investment for the next 4 years or so since AMD doesn't require new motherboards when they release new CPU's.

truth though, coffee lake is going to beast on games. boost 1x 4.7/ 6x 4.3 with ipc advantage. it finally can beat ryzen on crysis. lol. still... it's all about pricing. which intel always lose.
hopefully, amd dont get cocky and keeps matching intel with price/performance and bust out zen+. (pinnacle ridge zen2 projected timeline is 2018) i forgot about ravenridge. 8core raven ridge, possible? |

http://www.overclock.net/t/1636009/r...ench-3-results
Threadripper is looking better and better, these benchmarks show Threadripper matching Intel's IPC and delivering some insane multi-threaded performance. 1900X here I come http://www.overclock.net/t/1635992/o...8100-cpus-leak This rumor from the blue team is interesting too, unlocked quad core i3 with a 4GHz clock. Really interested to see where these sit in the price stack of they are real SKU's

what to expect on monday?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comment...ance_seems_ok/ good thing asus x399 zenith was out of stock. i would have gotten it. now, theres recall of defects on a $500+ mobo. pretty lame QC. so, decided to wait a little bit to see any problems comes up. eyeing on the asrock pro which has aquantia 10gb lan and $100 cheaper. asus only costs $500 its cause of the $200 ROG AREION 10G CARD! for some reason no one is grabbing the msi boards. its got 13 p-phase! no reviews on it. makes me hesitant. |

Well Vega performance numbers are out, Newegg is sold out of the 64 and the price is up $100 over msrp already...
Guess I'll be sticking with my 980ti...

http://www.pcworld.com/article/32151...64-tested.html absolute horse shit review Does Radeon RX Vega wrest the performance crown from the ferocious GeForce GTX 1080 Ti? Spoiler alert: Not even close. performance crown....? https://techgage.com/article/a-look-...e-performance/ Last edited by BOROSUN; 08-14-2017 at 07:52 PM.. |

I'm holding out to see what board partners drop, the 56 seems solid, but its over clocking limitations make me not interested in buying one. Once we get a hacked BIOS or a non-reference card with a non-power limited BIOS my 980ti isn't going anywhere.
I am still really wanting a threadripper setup, pretty much only holding off until I see the 1900x performance numbers. Fingers crossed it overclocks better then the 1950x/1920x due to only having 4 cores per die.

Non-reference Vega 64
Well the Vega 64 picked up little to no performance with a larger non-reference PCB/cooler design. Still have high hopes for the 56, but seeing this card is priced above the current price hike, there is no way I will be getting a Vega.

Yuuuppp, exactly what I am talking about. Honestly with their power consumption, I wouldn't be surprised if AMD made this "bug" on purpose. They knew reviewers would be testing for power consumption so they made the cards so they wouldn't properly overclock through a software "bug". Thats just me being a conspiracy theorist though
