I should've been more clear; Where did you purchase that Voltage readout connector?

I'd use the term crimp lightly here, as their crimpers are worth more than some people's engines hehe. (And I know you know this, but for those that don't) Don't assume your 8 dollar HaborBreak crimper and their 4 dollar crimp connector set are anywhere remotly the same as a real deal crimper and connections...

....I'd love to acquire a professional crimper like the helicopter shop had....

um, why do you guys keep saying nice wayne. I didn't make that. I was just sharing LOL! It was posted on Rywires facebook. Just a basic junction board kit from this website.

Performance Electronics

not that hard to figure out what you want to run on it for a fusebox/relax replacement. Although I know I'd have to run some separate relays for the e-fan since 20/40 isn't big enough for it. That would suffice to replace my current setup when I go full raychem porn.

i like that they used a sweet amphenol bulkhead deutsche connector... I just gave my roommate a 22-55 pinner for his car... I have 2 19pin ones on my own harness... They're sweet.

I have a few issues with that box, the first being that you'd have to remove the top to check any fuses. The second is that the relays are most likely PCB-mount (looks like it), meaning they're unserviceable. The third is the strain on a board that big with that much weight on it ~ if you look at the bottom, there's a huge copper trace that spreads from the power post to the hot side of the fuses, and it needs to held rigid enough to not flex.

For a show car or whatever, that's super clean and compact, but there's no way any of my race teams would run something like that. I am thinking about doing something similar with fully-enclosed switch/circuit breaker/relay panels next year though...

Well since it's made for a pretty oem car, no harm no foul right. Remember nobody builds fast honda's just engine bays.

For those who relocated the fusebox on their S14, would you recommend putting it in the glovebox or removing the passenger airbag.

depends on how you run the wiring, if you keep it on the firewall (oem) run it up by the airbag, if you're running it down by the engine harness doing a custom deal throw it in the glovebox.

looking for a little help with an alternator issue.

so before i start i want to say that i had the alternator tested already and it tested 100% fine.

i'm wrapping up a very lengthy build on my s14 which involved a lot of different modifications including a wire tuck and a custom gauge cluster. after all of this, for some reason, the alternator is not outputting the correct voltage. i'm not really sure if its putting out any voltage at all, really. i have the voltage regulator plugged in with a 12v source on one end with the normal 7.5 amp fuse and i traced the other end of the regulator plug to the OEM gauge cluster harness. the wire goes to a diode then a warning light and another wire in the harness. i cut the diode out and soldered it to a short jump wire that i used to jump it to the other wire it connects to in the harness (if that makes any sense). after all this i still dont get the 13-something volts i'm supposed to. is there something else that governs what the alternator outputs that i'm missing?

That's not the alternator's exciter circuit, that's just a charge warning light. You need to have the thicker white wire attached to a power source (or ignition-switched power source, if you're worried about a possible current leak if the car sits forever) for the alternator to reference.

See, a friend told me the same thing but I only have two wires in the alternator plug. Then there's the ground for the alternator and the main positive post. Its on an s14 if that matters, which I don't think it does (or does it?).

two wires go to the alternator, the white one Jeff mentioned and a yellow wire.
