Yeah I hear about people doing autocross all the time, but never hear about drifting.

Well, if I can get a list of people that are interested, I'll start figuring out what needs to be done to start bringing some events to the area. Even if it was just a few guys practicing, I'm fine with that. Just want it to be legal so we don't need to worry about cops and such.

Yeah please let me know if you can get anything organized! It'd be great to have a set up for beginners around here, with no curbs and very small room for error, until people are comfortable enough to move on to a bigger track.

Yeah I saw that, but I think Tyler was talking more about for like people just starting off. Where we would have an open lot to practice in. That track seems to be pretty big and should probably have some experience before going there. Personally my car won't even be ready this season, but I wouldn't mind trying to get something started and meet people.

As much as I'd love to try drifting at NCCAR, I don't think my car would be ready for any of those events considering I'd need about 300hp for most of the corners, and I think they require cages, and I couldn't jump straight into it. The only drift experience I have is with rFactor and a Logitech g27 lol.

Nope, dont need cages since you're not gonna tandem with anybody. SA2005 or better helmet and shoes is all that's required. I wont make the June one since I probably won't be back till after that week but you better believe I'll be there for the August one.

I think I'm gonna head out there to spectate in June, maybe if I can find some small events to get my confidence up I'll head out on the track out there in the future.

of course it did. it's becoming the norm for most 240s that i've seen lately. which is really sad. in other news, my old 240 is running again. my buddy swapped an sr in there. so far, my favorite local 240's are knoop's, mike's, and ray's. every other one lately is starting to look jank. though, i rarely see any at all anymore.

im planning on having it at mount trashmore. its the only location I can think of that can house a bunch of 240s, bbq, dogs, RC drifto and other cool stuff.

the way that always works, if whoever is coming, has to bring a food item, or something to do with a BBQ ( forks, plates, charcoal, etc.)

Not sure if I could go or not, I'd love to but I feel like I'd be a child compared to you guys. Only had my car for a year, and I'm just 18 with a 8.75 per hour job. I'd be a little out of place, at least I can say my car is clean compared to a lot of other shit 240s around here though.

yeah man it don't matter, its just to get to know other owners around the area and make new friends.

BBQ is always a good social event with cars, especially with 240s. it isn't like the Honda scene, its more of bromance lol

Bought it as a virgin with it being my second 240, first one went down in 3 days because I thought I was invincible and I had a welded diff. Current one is fitted with an SR that was put in by 1320 tuning (never go there.) Thought I wouldn't have the resources to do the swap myself but after I had already invested in a shop I had multiple people come to me telling me that they'd help me and that that shop sucks. I wanna build for 300hp but I want to get some fancy 18s and new coilovers as well.

Ditch the flaps and mount the tag in the center of the damn bumper. Tag looks like rice.. Besides that its clean

flaps are getting replaced by kouki valance and the bumper will also be type X so the plate will be in the center. I had a small fender bender a while back and when I got a new front bumper for it I wanted the license plate bracket holes deleted. Also, wanted tags that would put my car out from the others, so people had something to remember me by, and not just another 240.
