Tiny little cars don't sell well here because we can drive what would be from Germany, through France, and into England and still be in one geographic region of the country.

Not to mention Smart cars sharing the road with lifted longbed 4 door 4wd fullsize trucks is just stupid.

It would be nice if Europe would bother to try to make cars that make sense here rather than shame America for not driving around in tin cans with 1l engines.

As for this engine hypothetical...

If the auto industry was willing to put out turbo cars as undrivable as the turbo cars of yesteryear we'd see small turbo 4s pushing out 350hp minimum. Go look at what rally cars are pushing these days. Some of those rallycross cars are getting 800+hp from turbo sub 2l engines.

The tech is there. What about the demand and customer base?

sounds like the special edition added 200 lbs of weight model. But scion always releases special limited "models" of their cars. Almost always a waste of time. Reading the comments was pretty entertaining. Sounds like no one really gives a crap about it lol. Can't blame them haha.
