we did some really cool projects in the past. too bad its mostly was ordered for show cars. for some reason too many people like "solid" colors and all that jazz.... keeping it "Classy". thats why i had to do leopard print on the ls6 manifold. im going to do something wild on the new ls1 track car again.

just wrinkle'd mine:

pretty basic, VHT wrinkle red, looks a little pinkish in the picture. in retrospect i think i should've done one less layer of paint. but whatever, looks okay i guess

a few seconds? just the process of dipping. thats if you do it right. and its done on a preped part. first you take a part you want to dip and mask, sandblast, prime, sand smooth, base coat and only then dip. its a whole technique to it, a lot of dudes out there cant dip complex objects, its ridiculous. then wash, dry, clear, deck cut and buff. its same as painting plus one extra process. but its hella cool because there are so many things you can do. all your oem trim in newer cars - wood etc is dipped. we dipped wheels, hoods, wings, doors, interiors, seat shells, steering wheels on all kinds of things. many high end cars and many expensive show/dyno queens because show quality work isnt a priority for most people but if you got the money to spend you can make some very cool stuff with your ride.

That a powdercoat or rattle can?

I had a bad experience with the "high heat" clear from a rattle can job I did on mine. Ill get pics up from before and after soon. I wanna do the black w/ rainbow flake on it now that it fucked up...

i own a paint shop so its all professional automotive paint. ive yet to have any paint issues due to heat, i believe because the products i use are catalyzed where aerosols are not. we paint VCs,engine bays,wheels, calipers, you name it and never an issue even after a couple years/drifting seasons. Look for Elevens' sponsored cars in XDC again for 2012 and also Formula D this year! stoked

oh yeah i did this one awhile ago. Gold base w/ gold flake

i ended up not being 100% happy with it so i re-cleared with some gold pearl in the mix. i need to take a pic of that...
