not really a horrible pass, he just didn't expect smith to go for the alley oop. he threw a chest past, which looks low because smith was already in the air.

Not a lively thread this season haha.
It's truly hard to be a Laker fan right now. I sit here being a hater as all the bandwagon Clipper fans yap about how "loyalty to their team is paying off." Dwight for Love. Let's do it haha.

Yeah, once the Lakers started to suck this thread dies lol.. Lakers have no bench and a shitty coach, their time of owning the nba is over for the next couple of years. Love watching kobe finally suffering and to make it sweeter, it will probably be his last few years in the league.

The Lakers need to go ahead and trade Dwight Howard, since he is quite obviously not re-signing with them. They will then finish the tank of this season and get a Lottery pick, which they can then use to build into the future. Poor decisions on who to coach the team and a set of personnel who just won't know how to get along together have damned this season and even if they DO turn it around and somehow make the playoffs (note: they will not), it will be a 7 or 8-seed and they will be duly crushed by the Thunder or Spurs.
The Clippers are going in as a 3-seed and will lose in the second round one more time. |

Things would've been drastically different if D'Antoni pushed for Nate McMillan as a defensive coordinator.
But that didn't happen. Trade Dwight and re-rebuild.

Pretty upset that JR Smith didn't make the all star team, but scrubs like Deng and Noah did.
JR is leading the league in points coming off the bench, plus he hits big shots and takes over the scoring load when Melo is gone. |

Curry definitely got robbed (and I'm not saying that because I'm from the SF Bay Area). Other choices in the west were solid and I'm hearing many people in the bay area saying dumb things like Curry should be in over Russell Westbrook or Tony Parker, but Westbrook was pretty much a lock and Parker is having a career year while both are leading their teams to the best records in the NBA. I do think Curry is doing more for his team than either Aldridge and Randolph and should have got one of the wildcard votes. I prefer Aldridge over Randolph, but Aldridge has the better numbers but Randolph's team is winning. In the east, Noah deserved it. I don't know about Deng, but Chicago is doing well without Rose so I think that impacted the votes. I know Paul George is an up and coming player and Indiana is winning, but I don't think he should have got in. Same goes for Kyrie Irving since his team sucks, but I don't mind seeing him play. I'm glad Deron Williams didn't make it since he's been sucking and bitching. |

I can't even watch this shit anymore. It's embarrassing. It'd be one thing if the team just didn't have talent, but they do. These dudes just don't play hard. Fuck all that nonsense about learning a system. Their problem is defense and defense is about effort. PERIOD. Hell, you learn that shit at the rec league level. All these fools played AAU ball and beyond. You mean to tell me that they don't know how to play a 2-3 zone or a box and 1, or 3-2 or deny, or whatever and know where to rotate? GTFO. Its complete and utter bullshit. Same thing goes for rebounding. Yeah you have to have position, but you have to give the effort to get into position. These clowns dick around constantly and then whine in a press conference about their "lack of energy" and why they cant "figure out" and their "lack of a sense of urgency". How can you have no urgency and no energy when you're the laughing stock of the league and you're getting ran out of the gym...and not just road games, but out of your own house? The only explanation is that they just don't care enough. and as a life long fan of the team, why should i if this is the bullshit they're gonna put forth. /rant |

After the events of the last few days, I am PRETTY damned sure that if Kupchak doesn't either trade Dwight Howard and get a LOT in return for him or retain his services long-term, the LA Lakers will blame him for this fiasco that is Jimmy Buss' fault and then fire him and move Jim Buss to that position, and may never make the playoffs again until some crazed fan decides to make him the target of their IRL game of COD.
Either that or David Stern has seen the error in his way for fucking them out of the Chris Paul trade and they need to tank a season to get into the lottery and grab a top-5 pick. |

Definitely can't blame Doc now.
I wonder who will replace him in the All-Star game. Brook Lopez should be in it, but I think his replacement must be a PG, so Deron might get in after all even though he doesn't deserve it this year. I rather put in Brandon Jennings or Kyle Lowry. Dam, I think I have Rondo on at least two of my fantasy teams too. |

I wish they would allow Stephen Curry to start as the East's PG so he can make a statement to all the West Coaches who snubbed him. |

What a dagger for the Celtics today (though they did take the win versus the Heat on cruise control). Pack that team up, it's a wrap.
Oh and did anyone catch this gem during the game earlier? ![]() |

Call me crazy but I believe that since Rondo is out, the Celtics will tighten up their defense.
When Rondo's playing, the Celtics don't play hard enough and think the shot will come to them. I still have hope... not championship hope but a decent season. |
