yeah, but there are photos of cars that have crashed at the track on that day, and then continued to drive because thats what you do at the track, yet someone has taken a photo and plastered it all over the internet all because it's 'doing it wrong'..

or the posts of the missile cars at ebisu.. These are cars that are taken from the scrapyard, drifted around for a while, then taken back to the scrapyard.. Why the fuck would you spend money on painting/fixing something to be pretty just so you can drift it and then take it back to the scrapyard at the end of the week..

Saw it in person Saturday. At 50ft j was totally Jelly. Then I got up close and was like "no thanks". Its certainly not "DIW" but it was beat to fuck with shit paint and nothing fitting right, straight or anything. Sheet metal was all wavy, $300 paint job, roof all mashed in, etc...






I feel that way about most JDM cars. They look sick in their action shots but I feel had you seen them in person it would be "meh".

I wasn't really comparing them, my image was the result of a quick google search to be honest , but I wasn't the one who posted said black car(my car is probably shittier than that black car in its current state).
and there isn't a racetrack for like 300 miles from where I live, so I have no way to test this theory
