Oh,,, I know lol.. I am saying that it would be the only widening possible to be done on those wheels if the spokes go out to the lips... and no..not most people widening wheels make them more aggressive...there are wheel shops setup that only widen wheels for the auto industry who run stock wheels in races but want wider rims...Eric Vaughn who did my wheels has contracts with Honda and Porsche and is busy 24/7 widening wheels for them buy widening the inner barrels...to run on the track.

Hey guys, I've got a set of Work Euroline SL's they are originally 2-piece, then Work welds the face into the barrel. my set is 18x8.5 +42 is it possible for someone to add an inch to the lip side of the wheel to make them 18x9.5 +17?

ohhh, okay. i just realized how my math was completely wrong. lol. anyway, would a company be able to add an inch to the lip? the only thing i'm worried about is that there isn't much lip so they would be cutting and welding pretty close to the face.

I am not sure what the offset will be if this is possible people have been telling me ssr make their own lips for each model of wheels so i can buy vienna lips and slap them on? |

First of all, some koenigs are 3piece welded (made by SSR) and some are true 3piece (Made by OZ I believe). Which are yours?
example of welded (note that the faces sit on top of the outer lips): example of true 3piece (note how the face is mounted in between the inner and outer lip): |

Then yours are welded and resizing will require one of the following:
1) Remove face and have the weld cut or machined and buy new outers 2) Remove face and buy new inners and outers. |

Took a small Rega, cut the face out, took an inner, an outer, welded them together, machined off the register, welded the face in, and then they were powder coated white.

So I've got a buddy over at ISS Forged telling me I can run a set of VS-KF faces on regular lips/barrels no problem. Just put the faces in my appropriate size, bolt up, silicone, and go.
Why does everyone seem to think this is an impossible feat? Why do you need to re-weld these? I just wonder why these guys are telling me its ok, and you guys are saying its not... |
