Looked exactly like your Passat.
Bagelsworth? Yeah I was on my way up to the track and called him to make sure it was cancelled. George lives near E-town anyway so I just kept driving up. Did you drive Saturday? Brian did you really quote all those pictures? |

On mine, I decided not to move it to the engine bay, cause thats gross lol. Way to messy for my likes. I cut about a 2 inch notch in the seam weld, bent the cut part up and hammered it flat. So the harness can come out of the well and sit flat against the top of the seam weld. Then I drilled two holes large enough to get a good sized ziptie through up in the corner of the wheel well above where the harness comes out of the firewall. This is so you can ziptie the harness up as high as you can. Keeps it away from the tire, and as close to the firewall as possible. (In the second pic, it's for the 2nd ziptie away from the firewall on the harness. Just for reference so you can see about where I drilled the holes) My Sebion hood never latched for some reason.... so I took my hood cable out too. Which was even more in the way than the harness ever was. And of course, a BFH does wonders on the rest of the fender well where the tire is rubbing on metal.. Hope that helped some. |

yeah, almost every Zenki dmax hood i've seen, fits like shit around the headlights. Kouki and S13 dmax hoods fit good, but the zenki mold is messed up or something.
Fijiboy's hood fits pretty good and his car looks pretty badass!!

Looks like the early molds were pretty good. They're probably using the same one and its worn out. What I did was use an old CF VIS hood and rivet a vent on there. With all the stuff I had to cut out, its pretty light. I really like the vent, its nice and subtle. I feel that the Dmax is too square for the zenki.
Excuse the ugly car and the bad picture.

Molds "wear out" after time. They also cost a S-load to make.
Maybe this zenki hood mold is not doing too good anymore.

I have a set of regular hood pins if you want them.
They are just your standard hood pins. No fancy stuff. They are silver. $25 shipped?
