I know I have a broken sensor on my transmission down there and a plug there that doesn't plug into anything. Pretty sure it's for my reverse lights but haven't bought a replacement sensor yet because I haven't found one that has worked quite yet.
Anyone? Might just buy the sensor and pray.

Soak it in anything like super clean or simple green or whatever, and then sparay the crap out of it. Also if you have access to one, try a pressure washer.

Anybody in the US making Driftworks style replacement knuckles?
Driftworks GeoMaster - Race Hub Knuckles - Nissan Suspension - Suspension & Steering Driftworks Shop

dollar to pound conversion brings them to over $1200 for parts alone. Ouch.

Will the z32 front splashguard/plate baffle fit on the S13? I would really like to have some sort of splash shield for the rotor.

If it doesn't fit, what kind of alternatives do I have besides cutting it? I'm on courtesy parts, btw.

ok, last question for the week.. ive been asking a lot

this is kinda random but idk what i should do about it

i'll be taking my car in for paint in a couple weeks, and im getting everything sorted out with the painter but i don't trust him to do anything other than paint my car (hardly know the guy)

do i pull the interior and dash and all that bullshit and keep it at my place so i can ensure it's put back in properly or
do i leave everything except door panel, kick panel, and door sill still there?

i don't want the chance of overspray on my shit or him half assing everything back together, im pretty anal about my car

Purple power works well, as does kerosone. I've found getting one of those bottle brush/cat tail bristly brushes from the auto store work best for stuff like that, plus they are bendable.

The W/S lower harness will have those parts, however the plug/sensors may have different plugs on them. I know I've seen 2 different style plugs on them. May need a reiwire, but it's only 2 wires and they can go either way (just a contact switch)

Z ones would need modification as the calipers are different. With that said, I haven't run any on my cars forever. What makes you want them?

Potentially. hard to say. check the other arms/bearings too.

There really isn't any measurable/noticable difference between any of them. They all suck, I'd say get the cheapest ones haha.

alright i got a 2 part question here. i am swapping my 4 lug to 5 lug and need new brakes. i have 180sx front brakes and im pretty sure stock s13 rear brakes (i need assurance)

now do i need 95 maxima rotors(for 5 lug) and 95 maxima pads for the fronts being i have 180sx front calipers.

for the rear i just need s13 brake pads and s13 rotors correct?

heres the pictures of my front and rear rotors / calipers. (can i re use the front rotors or do those look shot? they're project mu)

Is this just a guy that does paint as a side job or is this at his shop or whatever? And why would you go to somebody whom you don't trust for something that can make or break your car?

If your friends recommended him and liked this person's work, I don't see why you wouldn't trust him.If you're that afraid, taking interior pieces off will not do much harm. It'll just take some time.

If this guy really bugs you, just don't take it to him and find another place that you know will do a good job.

What kind of modifications need to be done to the shield?

Part of the reason why I'd like to have the splash guard is for piece of mind when the road is wet. It's more of a preference for me, if the Z32 has one why not put the splash shield in along with the entire brake swap.

it's a body shop that my dad's friend owns, im getting a deal on paint but since its a cheaper price i feel like he won't do his best/rush the job. Painter is not my dads friend, he works for the guy

so my car almost turned on today.. after weeks of waiting for oil/coolant lines to come in..
but it wont start.. part of the harness was warm after attempting to start it.. it was the black/ white wire around the area where the ecu harness plugs into the body harness (by the front headlight)

s13 by the way

but my question is.. why would this wire be getting so warm?

Possibly exposed wires somewhere that are touching and have too much current through them, or from my experience with S13's is bad ground can cause some really weird shit. Good luck, electrical stuff sucks.

now for my question, I've noticed that whenever I drive through puddles(even smallish ones), I get a horrible grinding noise from under the car. Not sure if it's the trans, diff, or driveshaft, but it won't go away until the car is completely stopped. I can gear down, push in the clutch, rev it up and the grinding doesn't change. I also have a welded diff- possibly a worn pinion bearing? I also did some research and it seems a variety of different cars with aftermarket exhausts are experience this exact problem. Any suggestions?

To edit: even sometimes after I completely stop, I'll start driving again and it'll still be there, so I'll stop again, and start driving and it might be gone by the second or third attempt.

lots of resistance = hot wires

check the connections to everything, the plug itself might have corrosion on the pins which is causing the resistance increase. Clean them and use dielectric grease

this might not be the solution though

I have a few questions:

1. I have a Redtop SR with idle issue's it seems like it does what it wants. Example two nights ago the car started to idle at 1500rpms i drove back to vegas from cali and the car fixed itself last night idle at 1000rpm today i turned it on and it bearly wants to stay on it would be under 1000 about 600 rpm, does anyone have any tips on what this can be?

2. Including those idle isusse if i were to give it gas the car will rev but then die, unless i play with the gas and slowing bring and back to idle?

Sounds like a vacuum leak. First thing I do when my SR is idling funny is I go over my intercooler couplers and vacuum lines for the bov, boost gauge and to the wastegate actuator. If those are all good, I'd check the ECU for fault codes, namely code 12 and probably some other ones to look for but can't remember off the top of my head. It might even just be a dirty IAC valve, which really sucks to clean lol.
