SE's came with VLSD which is not a clutch type LSD. Nissan does offer a clutch type LSD though.

There's one nissan that came with clutch type r200 LSD that will drop in the 240sx, if you read around. But good luck finding one.

There are more pressing things to be done the right way.

Have fun driving in figure eights around a parking lot.

Z31 TT. That thing is probably is all worn down by now if you find it just like the FCs and AE86's clutch diffs.

Yes Z31T(84-89, non SS)but you can rebuilt it and rebuilt it with even more plates. Once you pack it with plates it's practically a Nismo, just you only have 2 vs 4 spider gears.

Welded diffs when done right work great.

Once you start to pass that 200hp mark though, you may want to have something that can also give you a little more control and traction then something that is always locked. Also depends what you want to use it for.

Mine has lasted my SOHC drift car for about 6 or 7 years now, as well as i daily it.

Opinion?

Sucks compared to an aftermarket clutch-type LSD like a Nismo, Cusco, etc. I've tried open, vlsd, welded, 1-way clutchtype LSD, and 2-way clutchtype LSD.

Trade-off is that it's obviously way cheaper than anything aftermarket.
Opinion? Give it a try for a while, then try an aftermarket LSD, and post your findings. If you have any sense of feel, and if you're sensitive to changes with your car, I think you'll see that having an LSD a lot nicer.

For daily driving i dont really like it... I noticed its pretty loud, especially when turning sharp corners .. which can be annoyng when your just driving through a parking lot to find a spot.. or going through a drive through .

Daily driving for me ehh..

Drifting awesome...

Wheels spin and lose traction so easily it makes drifting or atleast learning how to drift simple and fun which is the absolute best way to learn. Its cheap, affordable and works. Just have to know that if you plan on daily driving it you may not enjoy the noises. or youll just completely adjust to it and be fine.

Clunk=subframe, or gear wear/play (allowing for some backlash - the total of which you can measure by parking the car in gear, and seeing how far it will freely roll).

I believe he was trying to explain tire squeal on welded diff.

Welded diff doesn't make "Clunk" noise. At lease 10 different cars I drove with welded diff.

Clunk noise is from LSD equipped car.

exactly. It clearly show's why. I laugh at a majority of his posts. His posts are funny. The fact he thought I was condescending is even more funny. It's a good video, why not share it. How was I showing any kind of superiority on the matter lol. It's all in his name.
