s14- 2495 1/3 tank gas
this was before roll cage
still has heater core blower motor, door panels center consol stock hood etc. not really anything special.
you could get the car super super light, but its kinda dumb becuase then it has no side windows and shit and you cant even leave your car out overnight at the hotel by the track.

Just had to post. Here is the reading as of tonight, since my brother only had a limited time to help me at the shop. This is with my brother (~143.3lbs) and three Porsche 2.2L flywheels (~23.5lbs) on his lap:

DF: 650LBS PF: 680LBS
DR: 600LBS PR: 540LBS
Total: 2470LBS
Total minus added weight: ~2303.2lbs

Crossweights are 1190/1280, or 48.18%/51.82%.
Front/rear is 1330/1140, or 53.85%/46.15%
Side/Side is 1250/1220, or 50.61%/49.39%

Still have a decent amount of tar, haven't relocated my Optima Redtop, no spare, no wing, no sunroof, no panels except driver's side door panel, fiberglass hood, Sparco Pro2000, DC Sports front strut bar, Okuyama Carbing rear bar, all the aftermarket arms, more under bracing, fender braces, 3" aluminized steel cat-back with resonator and Magnaflow muffler, Silvia front, no AC, big brakes, no e-brake assembly, two speakers, about 6 gallons gas.

I'm pretty stoked it's that low. Now I just need to lose more.

Hello all ,not to bump an old thread,but I just scaled my car on MON(finally have time to do my own.Here we go!!

WITHOUT DRIVER!! TOTAL 2416 lbs a lil less than a QTR tank
LFT=1214/50.2% RT=1202/49.8%
FRONT=1331/55% REAR=1085/45.0

CROSS= 1213/ 50.3%

CORNER WEIGHTS
LF=665 - RF=665

LR=548 -RR=537( 11 lbs differance,I have to move the coilovers to get it on the trailer so ride height is eyeballed with a tape at track,not ideal).

I have no FRP parts,fully gutted ,full cage, manual windows, STD size BATT in stock location , no AC/ heater,all OEM glass ,S13 coupe,SR20,thinwall steel Xaust,full body kit. Fresh off the HTM (GRIP)
My ideal goal is 2200,soooo FRP doors,hood trunk,lexan,FRP roof cap are my next mods . PEACE IMO I think its statically well balanced,I will ADJ corner weights to compensate for driver weight!!!!!!!! I weigh 239 & 6'3"

Last time I weighed mine, it was ~2250, give or take 5 lbs. Since then I've lost the head unit, speaker, miscellaneous bracketry, wiring, clutch fan, rear strut brace, and replaced the power belts with manual so car is likely about 2230lbs with dash and passenger seat. I'll lose another 8lbs if I ditch the hood I have on the car for the hood in my garage.

I figure there's another 30lbs to be lost by switching to a titanium exhaust, another 9 or so by going with an aluminum driveshaft, and a couple more in excess wiring and switching to a FG race seat for the passenger. Trunk lid could be a couple pounds lighter as well and some time spent with a rotary tool could lose some nonessential bracketry.

I think 2250lbs with a very stout cage, LS1/T56 combo, and 18x12s all around is doable.

haven't weighed it lately but I was getting close 2300 lbs. gutted interior and removed: Ac, headlight motors, egr, heater, fan, ps, trunk lining, spare, radio, speakers, manual belts, custom exhaust. Basically my interior consists of the dash and two seats and it is a 1992 coupe. I will add bucket seats and a cage soon so the weight will go up slightly but I plan to offset this with a carbon fiber hood, trunk and fenders.

I am very curious to see what my 94 convertible weighs? I gutted everything/took out all carpets and panels even the stereo system. I also took off front and rear bumper supports. I know the vert stock weighs as much as an s14. So i wondering how much weight i can drop,

KA with intake. Still have all smog-legal parts in place, factory manifold, 3" cat to 3" aluminized mild steel piping to Magnaflow muffler.

Also running 245/40R17 RE01Rs on CE/TE combo.

Switching from heavy Optima or stock-sized battery to a Braille will almost guarantee you at least 20lbs weight savings.

I have both bumper supports.

Here's a nearly complete list of what's been removed or replaced to save weight:
-all interior panels except door panels and dash, no glovebox, head unit, headliner, or center console
-rear seats
-most of the sound deadening except on rear wheelwells and driver's and passenger's footwells ahead of cross bar thing
-AC compressor, compressor bracket, condensor, condensor fan, and most of the lines
-replaced Optima with Braille B14115 and relocated to behind passenger seat
-replaced stock power belts with S14 manual belts
-removed stock power sunroof and riveted sheet aluminum in its place
-replaced stock trunk lid with carbon trunk lid, held shut by 2 pins and 2 latches
-replaced stock hood with FG hood, held shut by 4 pins
-removed cruise control
-removed all speakers
-removed antenna
-removed all unnecessary wiring inside the passenger compartment and currently working my way forward
-lightweight flywheel (it's not much but it counts)
-removed clutch fan
-replaced driver's seat with Sparco Pro2000
-USDM front end replaced with Silvia front end
-removed e-brake assembly (necessitated by braking upgrade)
-removed spare (I live life on the EDGE! )
-removed all unnecessary bracketry
-removed wheel well liners
-removed flux capacitor

Here's where I've added weight:
-wheel/tire combo (despite the CEs/TEs each being 3/2lbs, respectively, lighter than stock, the much bigger tire increases the weight)
-front DC Sports strut tower brace
-Nams shakitto plates
-Ultra Racing fender braces
-Nismo TC bracket brace
-Koyo radiator
-Whiteline sways
-SPL subframe and rear link braces
-all the rear links
-aftermarket FLCAs
-coilovers with camber plates
-VLSD diff cover

I'm sure I forgot a couple things but that's about it.

where in southern california do you guys get weighted at? do you guys go to those weigh stations on freeways? my friend jake got his car cornered weighted by Alex at G-Dimensions, but are there any alternative shops that can do this (in orange county)?

Al's Evo II is down to 2550 now with a T45 cage. I think he can take more out but he wants it to stay the way it is.

Wet with me in it, this past year's 240 Maxi weighed in at 2245. Weights are not ideal and should be better after the winter.

When I originally built the car it weighed 1944 dry without sway bars. The front sway bar setup is close to 35 lbs and is outta here. It will be replaced by a Titanium bladed setup from a 96 spec Group A Impreza...4 lbs.

My S13 is down to 2370 lbs. ...

No interior except driver seat, door panels, dash, and center console...

I'm hoping to drop another 100 with some carbon panels and removing the sound deadoning...

This is my daily driver so I didn't care about gutting it. I have my track s13 so no need to strip away from a comfy ride.
