Yeah I live in a somewhat wealthy town and it gets annoying when you work for everything on or for your car and then some kid comes too school in a 60,000 dollar car thinking there they shit.

Now I make decent money for myself, but instead of moving out of my parents' house, I plan to stay here for a couple years, save up then buy myself a condo. I have only my parents to thank for my success & comfort since they've always given me that step up so never had to struggle financially. In a lot of ways I feel like my lack of "realness" is due to the comfortable life I've lived. I never experienced the hard life to build up that character & strength. So whenever I have an opportunity to challege myself, I do it. In addition to that, I'm trying to reduce any frivolous spending unless I really want something....like Xbox 360....forza....bride seats....mmmmm...haha. But seriously, I would like to move from residence to residence by fitting everying in one van/truck. Anyway, sorry for the emo-ness, just felt like sharing

I havented watched this yet since im at work
but I see that alot more wealthy kids can do better in school and possibly persue a university or 4 year college... I went to college, havent graduated yet, becuase I had to work for the things I want, so i lost focus and couldnt use my free time to study hard.. I also feel like im getting stuck at this rate.. I wish I had a wealthy family to support me so I could study during my time instead of working.. But yah I agree with a bunch of you, some kids who get everything they want, cant really appreciate making a dollar.. I know alot of girls that go to college *a university*, can go clubbing all the time, not have to work, and crash thier car coming home from a club, and then mommy and daddy will buy em a new lexus.. it annoys me... Then I know some girls who didnt go to college, but work full time at small jobs but end up as managers etc.. thier positions may not be too big, but I probably have much more respect for them, they appreciate working for what they need and know more responsibility. And that makes it seem like they actually are just as smart as those other girls.,

My family isn't rich at all, but my mom is working her ass off to help me through college. I have a job, and i pay for everything i WANT, but she pays for most of the stuff i NEED. That's how i intend to raise my kids. It's important to know how hard it is to make money, because then you'll understand how hard it has been for the people in your life to help you along the way. |

It's already been mentioned but it comes down to parenting.
You can have money and still be more miserable than poor kids. I've been on both sides - in Guatemala my family was considered well off but when I came here we were poor - and have had friends on both sides of the coin too. Becomes more apparent the older one gets. |
