Depends on who is involved and what kind of shit they are drinking/smoking. Not every type of weed will affect a person in the same way. Same with alcohol.

Examples for weed:
Chronic: Makes me suuuuuuper tired, and I really can't do much of anything at all. I couldn't drive or be violent or anything like that, due to the fact that I'm barely able to move.
Common medical grade stuff/kind bud: Just makes me relaxed and feel good, but I'm still fully functional, even if I smoke alot of it. Makes for AMAZING sex. lol

Examples for alcohol:
Drunk on Jack Daniels: Makes me a very violent, unhappy, confrontational person. I'll fight anyone, and I don't care about ANYTHING. Bad stuff (for me and a few of my friends, at least).
Drunk on beer/malted beverages, etc: Just relaxed. Happy. Still fully functional as long as I don't go overboard.

In conclusion, theres a good chance that if somebody says "LET'S GO GET FUCKING WASTED", that the night could end badly, especially if we end up doing shots of JD. Now, if the same person says "LET'S GO GET FUCKING HIGH", there's a good chance that we'll all just end up watching Half Baked/Office Space/Baseketball/Super Troopers and being perfectly safe. Horray for weed.

BTW, I'm not a stoner. I started smoking weed about a year ago, and I've only been high maybe once every two months or so since then. As for alcohol, I've been getting drunk (on average) about once every three months for the past five years.
