Most of those race batteries only provide those cranking amps for about five seconds. Then they drop considerably.

Miata battery from Vatozone.

Cheap. It' fits perfectly. It workds.

No complaints.

I took some nice pics (with my cell phone, but it's a nice 3.2MP!) only to realize that my laptop is dead and my desktop doesn't have the application for me to transfer it over

Anyways, I have a greddy FMIC (VSPL) and I relocated mine to the trunk. Which is what your better off doing. I did it myself, it was probably the easiest thing I've ever done in my life. And for the battery tray in the trunk, I drilled 4 holes (where the nuts would enter) in the trunk, placed the nut appropriately, hammererd it in lightly and then welded it in place so it won't move or fall out. Then I placed my battery tray over it and put in some bolts so I can easily remove the battery tray if I needed to and it looks cleaner that way too. Then obviously the kit included a strap for the battery which hooks onto the tray itself. On the S14's, the trunk has a bolt that connects to the rear subframe I believe, not too sure, but it's in a hole and I put my ground to that, bent the metal a bit to make sure the ground is SOLID, but it's covered up by the carpet and over winter I will be attempting to make some fiberglass cover around the battery area, with an open\close lid for easy accessability to the battery.

and i have a small 10" sub with a small 310 watt amp and obviously i went with an OEM Nissan battery (regular size, since it is in the trunk, don't gotta worry about size anymore) and it goes good, with the smaller battery, I noticed it wasn't getting enough juice in the cold and would die quickly...

Anyways, hope this helps you out a bit, but I know i went kind of off topic, but too lazy to edit it! hehe....

im using the westco slim battery. hasnt failed me yet. and can still fit snug beside the pipe. =)

miata battery from autozone!!! has like a 7yr warranty. left the car for 3weeks, jumped in, started right up. fits really well, almost perfect i'd say. the westco one is another great alternative since its made for the miata but with a higher CCA.

Optima yellow top relocated to the rear seat of a hatch.

Make sure you use a dry cell and have a vent tube.

since I just realized that you live in "god its -10 degrees today country..."

Certainly consider a battery with high CCA because if you dont...you will probably be screwed...I think oddysey offers a 900-950CCA battery thats still relatively small

my buddy runs an odyssey and he's had no problems. he just replaced his old one which he had for about 3-4 years. weather is much warmer out here though, so listen to xamraci.

i just have a quick question, i have a small system in my car 12inch sub, amp the works, and i just got my fmic, so what do i do?

the only problem about moving the battery to the back is because i have a custom box, its possible but its going to be a hassle

will it be fine if i get a miata battery, or a buddyclub small battery? or should i just deal with it and put the battery in the back?

Man up and relocate it. Those little batteries always end up having problems.

I just used a miata BAT.

I had my old s14 relocated b4. Even since then it has electrical problems

like what everyone said before me if you plan on having a system relocate. if not then you can get a 1995 miata mx5 battery. Thats what i have in my car and runs fine. if you have the money get an oddessey battery.

yeah the little batteries seem to lose cells, when all else fails i know a lot of guys using tractor batteries. or just relocate it, but if you want to run the car at the track youre going to need a nhra approved battery box, if you have a hatch back its gotta be a closed top box, and if its a coupe you dont need the top.

Unless your interior is stripped. If there isn't a divider between the driver and battery you need a cover.
