Why does California have such sucky gas?
It really hit home when I bought my Evo VIII and read the manual.
"93 Octane gasoline must be used without exception. In case of emergency, 91 octane may be used for a very short time. Prolonged use of substandard fuel will result in decreased performance and possible engine damage."

My Evo never got to taste 93.

I miss 94 octane Sunoco in the midwest....

93 octane was like $3.80-something last time I filled up...which was about 2 weeks ago.
