isnt there a point where the sidewall is angled out so much that it looses its stiffness again. I would think straight sidewalls would work best, but then again I could be wrong because I've never driven a cars with tires that thin relative to the wheel.

Theses pics were more to demostrate the 15 offset then the the style of the rim. Streched sidewall, wide rim super flush with the body look so mean!
