- Selling my s13 in 2004 for $2500 to some 19 year old, who then sold it to some 15 year old without a license who drove it around any way.

- Buying a pacesetter exhaust just because it looked like the OEM unit that i broke in half.

- Buying kazama tie rod ends, which wore out in less than 6 months, which were then replaced with s14 oem outers with tein inners.

- Stripping my cyl. 1 spark plug thread, rigging the to-be-replaced old spark plug back in somehow, instead of helacoiling it.

- Using a torque wrench that I forgot I dropped in the past to tighten a front subframe to chassis bolt.. causing an overtightened bolt.

- Not getting front camber bolts for stock suspension and still grip racing anyway, which caused the outside shoulders on the front tires to wear out quicker than the rest of the tire tread.

- Accidently overtightening one rear S14 VLSD diff cover nut (not the cover to pumpkin nut, but the cover stud nut that goes through the subframe).

- Buying 4 sets of tires to grip race with instead of buying less tires and spending the saved money on coilovers, and grip racing less often.
(woulda saved gas money and maintenance costs).

- Listening to a friend who said to use locktite on the engine block coolant drain plug after flushing my cooling system and installing a new thermostat and radiator.

- Not getting off my ass and jb welding a microscopic hole on the bottom of my radiator that leaked 2-3 drops of coolant a day and got air into the cooling system, forcing me to bleed the air out every week from the radiator cap.

- using some random assed dual electric fans from the junkyard wired with thick gauge wiring to a switch in on the center console instead of keeping the stock clutch fan..
my dad wired it, did a good job. but it ended up killing one battery and one alternator in the long run.

- Stripping ALL the interior behind the front seats.

- Buying a SOHC hatch for $1600 that caused major headaches for 3 years.. instead of waiting 2 weeks longer for some other seller to finish preparing his car for smog for me.
$2000 for a clean assed near-problem-less black DOHC hatch.

That's all I can think of for now.

I'm an idiot

spending $150 on new RUCA's, while I had a perfectly good pair. Needed a lil bit of welding though.

Spending $2200 on a SR swap, then getting refed a year later. really stupid.

WASTING money on cheap parts, then having to replace them with quality parts.

Learned the hard way, but hey, at least I learned.

There's a lot of idiots on here that never learn.

Do it right, or do it twice.

Couldn't have said it better myself

-I baught a set of Ebay "pillow ball" RUCA's....later felt clunking and a loose rear end. Upon further inspection and removal the arm fell to pieces in my hands....switched to quality rubber mounts in a fancy set of arms.

-I baught an INJEN intake back in 99', just to fit in, for $350 (with the "cold air extention").....By far the WORST investment I have ever made.

-I decided to street race on the I95 and blew a tire doing 105mph....RIP Red 240 (2001)

Live and learn...

kinda regret buying a 240 cause im broke as shit and would rather have something more comfortable and economical right now. Then Regret buying kts coilovers, kts tie rods, cause I only been to the track twice in 2 years. Regret hawk brake pads cause its my daily driver and found out duralast pads are lifetime warranty. I regret getting my liscence altogether. I would of saved so much just buming off rides. Thinking of all the gas and maintenance spent the last 2 years when I didnt really need a car, Priceless. BTW im 18 so yeah didnt really NEED a car past 2 years. But hey, Im lagging it but gonna get my welded diff installed soon. I got some cheap tires and just gonna burn my patheticness away. wow what a testimony.

I regret not sticking to my plan to finish my car on time and going off on little tangents that turned the whole project from a couple month ordeal to a couple years. Oh Well.

I regret, not learning a little bit more about body and paint work before I tore the car apart and got to work (did it over and over and over and over and well you get the picture)

I regret buying a bunch of crazy NAMS suspension pieces and not spending that money on back halfing it when I had the chance.

My $10k 6 month RB26 swap is on it's 4th year in my garage, and is almost double my original budget because of tangents.

First car: Crashing it...3 times. Rushing it out of a body shop and rolling around with primered fenders forever. Pulling the rear fenders WAYYYY too much.

Second car: Parking it on a corner... RIP.

Third car: Buying someone else's decommissioned curse, and making it my own.

Buy an SAFC-II to help deal with a chipped S14 WC ecu. Ecu is fried, and I haven't even driven the car.

Should've just built my KA, or picked up a blacktop.
