everyone (read: s14a owners) seems to think that a '97-98 is worth substantially more than a zenki because it is "rare".
it's not rare. it's a 240sx. the production numbers may be lower in those years, and it may have the more desirable front in, but i propose to you that a zenki with a color-matched kouki front end would fetch the same as an equally-equipped legitimate kouki.
a 240 is a 240 is a 240. i do not believe that anyone wanting a 240sx would be willing to pay a premium for certain years just because they had lower production numbers. it does not make sense, as these cars will not be sitting in a climate-controlled showroom. they will be driven, or at least hard parked.
