Oh naggers... I thought my second one was bad.

I mean for $400 I guess you can't go wrong but you've got your work cut out for you.

Good luck bro.

hey you gotta start somewhere... i would have paid 400 for this. If your worried about the paint job and dont have the money, say fuck it and go get some spray cans from home depot. Ive seen quite the few cars on here rattle canned. And who knows maybe you'll just drive it as is, save up, and then you'll come across a cleaner one. Have fun with it man !

Fuck these nay-sayers man, ANY running car for $400 is a deal!
But seriously, I am kinda jealous. I would just destroy it over a few months.

holy shit, that's a pile
I wouldn't have taken it even if it were free

but I can see how it would be a good car to learn on
if you have the resources - ie money, tools, space to work on - it's not a bad deal

but I doubt it
I think this car will be the typical rattle can, shit parts dump you commonly see nowadays

Typical Zilvia thread.

Ask for people's opinion, then take the responses personally and defend yourself like no other.

Finish the job, then ask us.

Either way, doesn't matter what color you paint a turd, it's still shit underneath that paint.

That's not bad for $400, it came with everything to put it together, people here are always talking shit and don't look at the bright side, it comes with everything you need to put it back together, in my opinion like this it will help you learn about your car when better way to learn than to put it all together, I've seen people spend more cash on legos, have fun with your car, you have knowledge about your car after you're done putting it together and you'll have the experience that some people in here don't, even if they've owned their car longer.

Its not a bad deal if its worth it to you.
If you have the time to put it back together and it came with all the parts, then it was an ok price for $400.
Running and driving is good but how well is it running?
If the engine is strong it was definitely worth the money.

Wow thats alot of work... but 400 bucks for a running car... ehhh, you basically got what you paid for
look for another car, unless your going to build a track car... that things a rat.

This thing would be perfect for drift Matsuri!!! I honestly wouldn't have paid 400 for it, because of the work involved to put everything back together, and the overall condition of it. If this is just going to be a car you bought to practice and beat, on, just put back what you need, and fuck everything else. In the end, it's your money, spend it how you want it. But, posting this up on zilvia is like going to a prison with a bottle of lube, you are asking to get reamed!

Work doesn't bother me, I like it, it gives me something to do. Ive got a hook up on a supposedly running sr20 for $200. And yes i found that out now and understand that this site is full of rich kids who like to troll and make their parents buy them car.

I say fuck it, if you like it, then enjoy it. 240's do need care and attention, also time and money just so you know. If your looking for something perfect, its going to be awhile. If your bored and want to be entertained and not worried about parts/money or anything for that matter then put it together, drive it, enjoy it, then decide if you want to do more to it or sell it or what eevry for that matter. Could be a decent track car shell, daily driver condition will take some time. If you already have a daily car then no worrys there. Enjoy yourself with it, it gives you something to talk about at the next party you go to or something lmao. Personally in my position i wouldnt have paid for that. I dumped a fully interiored and put together shell that wasnt even as bad as that for only $300, all it had was a spun bearing KA. Enjoy yourself, and welcome to ZIlvia.net.

400 seems pretty good, I've seen wayyy worse deals, like what I got my car for, bought it for 2200:

But idk a year n a half and 1200 ish dollars later this is what I ended up with:

Painted it in my garage, did a 5 speed swap, some bolt-ons, I'm on my 2nd ka now, susp. arms and PBM coils. Got the wheels for free. Just don't make the car worse than it already is..

I'd say get a better camera and take pics again lol. Also just put it together and then take some more pics and show us. If you really like the car yourself let people spew the negative comments all they want. Don't lose hope and restore the car back to nice shape. Document everything you do to it with pics and DON'T cut any corners on making it nice, or rice it out. After your done and while you make changes when you look at the before and after pics you'll feel happy with the accomplishment.

I have a 1993 MKIV Supra that I'm restoring that any other MKIV owner would snob about it's condition lol. But I'm not giving up on it. Just taking my sweet time. It's already shaping up nicely and I'm starting to get more progress done lately. As long as you're happy that's all that matters.

I agree, it's a POS.... CURRENTLY... but if it's as rust free as you say, it's worth every penny.

If there's no damage, and little rust, the rest of the car can be put together in time. Use it as a learning experience and do your best.

I'd rather have a heaping POS i built myself than buy a perfect car that someone else built.

Good luck man

oh by the way, there's plenty of people around here that pay 2-3 times as much for a car (sometimes just a shell) that looks worse than that, so i guess it's all relative. If that's a decent find for your area... run with it
