Yeah I was going to buy one at first but no one really makes anything close to what I needed, Vibrant makes a 6-1 collector but not twin scroll or 1.25" like I needed. I finally made a jig for the wet bandsaw and it came out great. Also I don't have any practice welding but Id rather make my own the way I want and have it not look professional but cost me alot less and to be able to say I built everything myself.

Headed down to southern cali this friday to pick up a bunch of aero parts and maybe another project car as im in the middle of another s13.5 rb25 project.

Just got back from a 40+ hour road trip. Didn't keep me from trying to finish my turbo manifold. If it wasn't for my material supplier I would have finished it today...

Found a cool short clip on youtube someone made, working on getting more footage from the guy who made the video.

The guy I got the car from. I plan on cutting it out and making a new cage. I don' t think they're gonna let the cage slide for the 5/8ths bank since the way the cage is made isn't exactly correct.

gotcha, well im in the market for a cage builder. If you know anyone that can do it please pass me their info. I have all the materials but no bender or decent welder.

One more pic to stay on topic with your build.

You're better off getting a pre bent kit online and adding to it. Otherwise you're gonna spend tons of money for someone to do everything by hand. We're getting a tubing bender at my shop to do a new tube front end on my car and Nikolays FD car. Id make my own cage out of raw materials but id rather get a basic kit then add to it. Im running out of time as is. I don't want to spend more house bending tubing and measuring ect...

my vems standalone ecu's i ordered came in 3 days all the way from europe. Great system, tons of options to select from when ordering the unit. Ordered a unit with dual egt inputs, 4 bar map, sd card slot for data logging. What sold me on these units is vvti control, nitrous control, internal wideband output, o2 correction and of course price! Ordered 2 units and 4 sets of plugs so instead of having 4 cars with ecu's i can swap ecu's into different cars and just switch maps! Not gonna drive 4 cars at once anyways!

what wheels are these????

Thanks! I was actually just down at extreme dimensions from Seattle about 3 weeks ago buying a bunch of s13 and s15 aero parts! This Skyline is prolly the least nicest one I've owned out of the 5 I've had.

I just marked all the plugs that im not going to need before I pulled the wiring off the motor and then cut everything open and cut each wire out one by one. Pretty easy, doesn't take much to run the motor. Most of the wires are for injectors and coil packs. Pretty basic, luckly I have my lower harness wired in from my RB so I just need to connect it to the 2jz starter and all my gauges are aftermarket including my apexi tach.

Oh ok, I saw some where that when keeping the twins that you can't remove any of the sensors on that side of the engine, so for now I will have to deal with all that.
I'm also running all aftermarket gauges and my own custom relay/fuse box and rewired the whole car with what I need, so that should make it easier to wire the engine up.

Quick question
What are you doing with the coolant line at the back of the head that goes up( not the one that goes across right on top of the trans)?

Yeah im not using the twins so I don't need any of those solenoids. Im not sure about that line as im not running a heater box/core. Still need to look into it. Id like to block it off but not if its going to cause any cooling issues...
