I am a new poster

I am very Interested in your swap also..I have a 77 Mg Midget..I own a 2009 S 2000..

A friend of mine was selling his beloved Midget, Mint, never has even seen rain..but the trans lost 1st gear and sounds like a straight cut race box when you drive it..

I took it for a spin..what a mistake..I fell in love with that go-kart feel..so connected..

and,2 screws and the windshield slides right out..50 mph feels like 100 mph...The S 2000 feels like a pig now when I drive her..Fast but heavy...

I was thinking a L20B 5 spd swap with a 5 psi suck through carb'd turbo..No efi..The

Built many of these systems back in the day 20 plus years ago...with simple pressure activated fuel enrichment.

Maybe the KA24E is a better choice..

I would like some opinions please

I was hoping the poster was still a member and could give me some insight on his swap and how it functioned..

Also if any other member has done a swap of this nature on a MG Midget..I would like some input..After all we are all car-guys regardless of what we drive..

Prior to my S 2000...I have had several 240..260 Z cars over the years..In my opinion the S2000 even though it is a Honda is just a progression of the 240-260 Z..The new Scion/Subaru is another variation of a early Z car..

I never owned a 510..but a very good friend of mine raced one for years..He thought a suck through setup on a L20B was a good choice ,reliable and bulletproof, no efi..

I want to keep the MG simple and light as possible..

What do you want pics of...The MG..it's just stock at the moment...I am asking the board for their opinion of engine choices and if the previous MG poster had indeed completed his Ka24 swap..I am thinking of a carb'd turbo L20b mtr..for the MG..
