oh yeah, look at all the singel kits for the z 32.. oh wait there are none. just custom. like this one from the purto rican race team. this car runs mid 7seconds 1/4 miles. http://www.z32.org/unsorted/proz32_7_7_run.avi ![]() another one from japan. notice the #5 and #6 exhaust manifolds coming out of the fender wells next to the strut tower. ![]() how about a sr swapped in a z32? a friend is getting ready to do this to his Z. ![]() their was a Z32 that keeped a cima block in the single turbo set up, but major frame modding was done but that car is dead and the block is now in ATL and being TT'd ![]() http://www.z32.com/readerrides/reader56.htm just a single kit is very very unlikely with the lack of space and the amout of work to fit it. and im sure the 350z will have the same problem. </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> The reason why there is no single turbo kit for a Z32 is because it was designed for TT, it would be a plumber's nightmare routing all the piping to the dual everything. The 350Z was'nt designed for a turbo so it has more possibilitie's (i see u brought up the cima motor, i was gonna bring that up to), are u telling me that if there was a demand for a single turbp kit for the Z32 someone would'nt make one, but that isn't pratical for the Z32 but you never know maybe it will be for the 350Z. I don't know what I have to say to get it through to you that a single turbo conversion is just as possible as a TT on this car, it's pointless arguing about it because nobody know's yet. |

here is a snippet of the admin from tt.net's trip to nissan japan and incounter with the production 350z
Dallas DamonZ Friday: Shot over to Japan, 13 hour flights suck! Met Mr. K, our host Tetsu Takakamo and a few of the locals at the airport. Head to Ultimate Z (Utsonomiya, Japan) for the 2 day Z meet. We have a nice traditional Japanese dinner with the local crew & knock back saki-bombs w/ Mr. K. ;-) Saturday: Z car show, 90+ Zs turned out. There was some mind blowing stuff to be seen. I'll leave it up to you to spot things in the pics later on. Sunday: Driving the cars on the 6Km 45 degree banked Nissan testing track @ Tochigi. Got to see the new Z up close at the end of the day! Monday: Go to NISMO HQ & see the shop!!! Very, very cool stuff!! Meet with Patrick Pelata & Carlos Ghosn @ Nissan HQ... they are about as far as you go up the Nissan corporate totem pole. Impressive they made time to see us, especially with the press release of the Stagea the next day & the Tokyo Auto Show in 2 weeks. We have dinner in an *extremely* exclusive restaurant with more Nissan top brass, then go down the street to a club w/ live music & a lot of Chivas on ice. Tuesday: Go to Nissan Design Center, got a 2nd level red badge (third security badge in order to see stuff you're not supposed to see). Got a private viewing of the production Z & the left hand drive interior. We meet with the designers (they are *young*, like 25 or so... which is great because they will be around for multiple iterations of the Z from here forward...). We go to the Stagea press conference (it's a very high performance sports wagon on the Skyline 4 door platform). We get to meet Hanawa-san.. he is the penultimate big cheese @ Nissan. We say goodbye to Katayama-san, he had been travelling with us the entire time up until now. It was kinda like saying goodbye to my own Grandfather (they are the same age). We depart to meet Kenji Sato, K's partner in 'crime' for many years. He & his wife take us out sight seeing in Tokyo. More beer & noodles for dinner!!!1 We go from Tokyo to Utsonomiya to Kinigawa to Tetsu's family's spa/gardens for the remainder of the trip. Not sure how I'll cover the details of seeing the new Z... I signed a NDA or 3, I know things that I'd like to share with you... you'll see it all soon enough since the press has gotten their photos & some specs... so I'll probably just leave it at that. As a matter or fact, we found a magazine issue devoted specifically to the release of these details. I wish I could read Japanese to see how in depth it is. Anyway, I got to talk to the designers about specifics, options, etc. Let me just say I'm *extremely* impressed with the car in person and what details Nissan is attending to in bringing the Z back into the market. I'm sure you will be too. It's not a Z32, but I think a lot of people are going to be extremely (pleasantly) surprised when Nissan pulls the sheet back for the public. Pics in the magazines do it no justice until you see it in motion.... I was rather ho-hum about things because I have a Z32 now. I can definitely see a new wave of enthusiastic performance Z owners (like ourselves) happening when they get their hands on this beauty. Suffice it to say, I need to start thinking about making room in my garage for a second baby (gotta decide on a color to compliment the GQ). ;-) sounds like he was pretty impressed, |

the 350Z doesn't really look like other japanese cars, looks more european or something, don't really know what exactly. maybe it's just the "new look" that's throwing me off.
