Oof, the shop I got recommended to by a friend is filled up today. Gotta go in tomorrow. But I definitely have enough fuel pressure, but I will make time today to double check my fuel filter and fuel pump to see how it goes. For a leak test Imma probably gunna have to do it at the shop since I don't have a compressor laying around but I might get that done first before an ECU read.

A shop cant magically see inside the PFC. You need a commander. Bottom line is you are blind deaf and dumb without a commander to view variables. If you get commander simply post video here and we can see the variables on it, and tell you what is wrong.
I'd love to post up the variables that can be obtained through the handheld unit but I simply just don't have it, I feel like it's not exactly worth it for me to spend 400 ~500 to buy a unit..it'll just be cheaper to do it in a shop. I do appreciate the recommendation though so no disrespect there.

btw, pulling the plug from the MAF while the motor is running, even with a stock ECM, will instantly kill the car due to the ECM no longer being able to meter A/F.you are meant to unplug the MAF while the car is off, then start it. this puts the ECM into diagnostic mode where it will run without the MAF.
A lot of videos I've seen, people pull the MAF while the motors is running and it jumps into limp mode immediately? I've also tried to launch the car with the MAF unplugged, it starts but dies pretty much immediately. So I'm not sure what's happening there of if it's just a Power FC thing.

i meant to ask... are you running a factory VG30 MAF? or is it aftermarket like an ISR unit?
I'm running a Bosch z32 MAF, it seems to have less pins than the VG30? Does that make a difference? (Sorry if this seems like an obvious question)

But all in all, I'm taking it into a recommended shop tomorrow noon, this time with a proper booking (since I was told to just rock up last time ahaha). If that doesn't work, I've also gotten a proper booking with a store that specifically dyno's imports. God I wish Nissan just made new 180s. Once again, thanks for everyone's input, issue isn't solved but at least I'm learning things on the go. Much appreciated.

I was born a tad too late I guess. Early 20s here, I'll never experience a new silvia unless I completely rebuild my own from the ground up (which I hope to achieve one day) ahahaaaaa

Hey all, so I just got back from the shop. Turns out it was a blocked injector all along that was causing it spazz out. So far it hasn't had any RPM drops or stalling like symptoms. I'll have to monitor it for a few days to see how I go then I'll update it one last time for people who may have this issue in the future.

Thanks for all the inputs you guys have given.

Ok! Fuel, air, spark!

Has the car sat for some time? Maybe fuel drying up and gelling out?

Victory in finding it, and now you have all these nice clean peripherals

Yea, the car did sit for about a month without movement because I was overseas. But is that enough time for it to get clogged like that? The car is definitely running on all 4 cylinders now, but the starting of the car is still a bit uhh I guess the best word would be slow. So it might not be all over yet ahaha

Not really. Mine sat for two and a half years before firing first go. There was some lifter rattle that subsided after a while idling, and is all good now.

Though that said I only ever put premium 98 in and drained the fuel before continuing with new oils etc.

Still, it?s something to sort out why it happened, have you had the firm times of opening the tank and getting the pump out etc yet? Always a good moment for upgrades.

I think I got some lifter rattles right now, it's either that or my injectors are rattling lmao. I still need to figure that out. The next things to replace on the list is the fuel filter and the pump. I'm scared of that giving out next aha

sr's do have noisy injectors, so don't drive yourself too crazy. A mechanics stethoscope would be a good thing to have around, just to check in on things periodically. Cheap too, like borscht.

Well, I'm back with an update. While the engine is definitely running on all 4 cylinders, it occasionally still dips. I'm taking it to a different shop this time to see if I can get it cleared up. Also struggles to crank, rarely does it, but still happens.

Seems like it's multiple things at once that's causing this outcome.
