Owning a car and being inquisitive like yourself and trying it, I quickly learned to stop trying. It sucks. My resolve was swapping in a non-HICAS rear end and calling it a day.

Yes, I know this is an old thread and some bot up'd it but this knowledge should be here for anyone using the search feature and trying to read about a system their car has questioning it's worth.

I?m a owner of a 1992 Super Hicas, now that it?s 2020 I wonder if it?s more special that I still have it should I keep it. I like having the decals on the side too make it feel more rare, I use it as a weekend car to drive around mountains ex: Big bear, GMR, forest falls. Would I waste money if I install something like a 1.5 lsd someday? Sometimes I wanna get the pineapples to lock it or with a bar.
