sweet... I for one am looking forward to pics of your freshly painted hatch. Stopped by the local body shop supply today to see what it is going to cost for the paint for my s13. Holy cow you are getting a deal, mind you mine is a metalic $180.00 for single stage, $240.00 for 2 stage this is lower end PPG. High end PPG 2 stage $500.00...

That is just product, so Id say your buddy hooked you up!

ok guys well , went by the shop today and I had to pay half of the price today, I forgot to take pics but the car is comming along good, he is gonna spray it tomorrow, up until now he has been doing prep work, and fixing that hatch (he said it was warped around some of the previous bolt holes for the spoiler like the metal is lifted so he had to grind that down and seal it, he is gonna spray tomorrow cause there is a big cold front moving in tomorrow night and he wants to spray before it gets here, something about humidity, idonno, but ill be there tomorrow and i will make sure to get some pics taken then.

oh crap i forgot to update. ok guys here is the deal, the wko was all set to go until he told me it was 150 extra for the pearl paint something i dont have, so instead i went with q11. the car was sprayed tuesday, wetsanded and buffed yesterday when supposedly the guy doinging it sanded too much in 2 spots so he is going to touch it up but the car will be ready for picup today. so I promice to post pics up guys
The reason the car wasnt painted last week was it was soo cold over the weekend that the paint wouldnt harden. monday on was 70+ so it was perfect for painting.

PIcs tonite guys be ready.

dude thats an awesome price. i went to get quoted for maybe 5 dings, light body work, and seal the spoiler holes in the hatch. i was providing new fender and bumpers too. they wanted $3k for all the work and paint (base + clear)

I got the car back at night tonite which i was p-oed about so the pics may be a bit dark, these are from my razr camera so they arnt great quality, but in a few hours im gonna upload the pics i took with my dad's D200 which are as sharp as my boxcutter. I am very happy with the paint, but its not even done. TOMORROW the car is being wet sanded, buffed and detailed all included in the price. to start here is a before shot of my hatch for comparison.
SPECS:
ppg signature piant (base clear 2 stage)
Nissan super white.
expensive paint but i got a damn good deal.
Anyways here are the camera phone pics, better pics comming in a few hours.

I am pissed about one thing they put a new paint stripe on by accident. I didnt want the tape on there, but since its still fresh they are gonna try to take it off tomorrow durring the detail wetsand shit. THE CAR IS WAYYYYYY DIRTY because of the monsoon that I had to drive through to get it home (fucking florida bros)
Tomorrow will be some final pics but u shoudl seee the hatch flawless. omg i thought it was a different hatch all together. crazy.

yes they put new black tape stripes on the car against my orders so they are taking them off tomorrow, i didnt want them on there, but they forgot, but all and all it came out great I cant believe how clean it looks, there are a few imperfections but those will be cleaned up with the wetsand and buff. ill take final pics after that happens
