Can I use the JDM DC5R Integra Type R (RSX Type R) brake kit (Calipers, pads + rotors) for my S14?

My friend has a set, they are made by Brembo, and apparently they are the same type that is used on the 350Z and EVO. They are the same pads as well; he couldn't order the DC5R pads from Honda of America, but he ordered 350Z pads and they fit and worked.

If it does work, what would I need to get it done? I'm currently on stock S14 brakes with SS brake lines, that's it.

I'm guessing I would need the 300ZX BMC, probably custom brake lines, and a mounting bracket of some sort (like how other 240s fit EVO brakes on their S-chassis)

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

as an ep3r owner, im fairly certain that you are essentially just looking at an adapter bracket and the right size rotor and they should work...i mean brakes are brakes, i could give you the stock 6 piston brakes off my fathers tundra and with an adapter bracket and the right size rotor, we could make them work on your s14

that said, how much would you pay for the brakes? i mean ive seen people pay WAY too much for those damn DC5R brakes, and they were used, when in comparison you can get into a full wilwood brake kit for your car for just as much brand new...think about it

hmmm ok, I'm just wondering if they would be moreso of a bolt-on or if they needed heavy modifications to be done.

My friend will give me a good deal on them (pretty much at his cost, when his brother bought them when he was in Japan), but I'll need to buy rotors, brake lines, and the 300ZX BMC. I'm sure I need at least the rotors and BMC.

My brakes should need to get replaced by the end of this year, I already have a brand new OEM replacement set of pads and rotors, I'm just wondering if it will be a hassle to upgrade to his DC5R set and sell my OEM replacement set.

I cannot get my timing right at all, the marks are all correct and the cas was installed correctly. The only way I can get 15* is when the cas is all the way clockwise. Is my cas bad?

Yea it could be a problem with your cas. You might want to check that out, also just be SURE that everything is installed correctly because I had the exact same problem and it turned out to be a problem with the installation even though everything seemed good.

My question: I have a power steering leak at the banjo bolt above the pump, can I use silicone tape or would that get eaten up? What would the be the best way to seal this?

Thanks,
Brad

there is way to much pressure to use silicone is it cracked are the threads fucked??

and I am praying for like 240hp if I can put down 240whp I would really be impressed. Like I said I do plan on going with a 18G that will pop me up into the low-mid threes

I meant to say teflon tape. I don't think anything is cracked, it only started leaking when I took it apart to do my engine swap.

I can tell you i have like 3 complete sets of coupe seat belts if you need.

But I dont think the will work since hatch rear set ups are completley different.

Won't help on a banjo bolt. Oil goes through the bolt. You need new copper washers on both sides.

so I just bought a s13. and it's 4 lug.

going 5 lug. and it looks like I would have to run s14 suspension in the front?

it says ichiba hubs are direct bolt on...does that mean you can still use s13 suspension?

Do Nismo thermostats have a break in period???
It was not opening until the car would almost completely over heat and then after that it would be fine and it seemed you couldn't possibly get the car to over heat.
Now It seems as if the thermostat Is Working intermediately.

Did I get a bad part or what???

Sounds like you have air in your cooling system. Properly bleed it and i bet you'll be fine.
