Can someone tell me what I would need to replace on my front suspension to get stock alignment back and to have less wear on my front tires? I've got lowering springs/shocks, and when I run my 17x9 Fn01rc's up front, the tires wear out like hell. Its all stock besides some dmax pillow ball tension rods, can anyone tell me where to start so I dont have so much front tire wear? What parts can I replace to get it to the alignment shop and have a good stock front end?

royal purple isn't gl4 fluid. Get amsoil or redline if you want something good. Its about 3 quarts to fill it up

take it to pepboys, they do it for free. A good scan tool costs a lot and isn't worth it. how often do you throw codes? Also, the ecu does it STOCK

you probably have bad toe from changing suspension parts. take it to a shop and tell them to set it to factory spec (Which isn't that great)

Royal Purple sucks. And as Chiboy pointed out, you want GL4 fluid for it.

Shouldn't need to change anything...just take it to Sears or wherever and have it aligned up.

Question:

I recently purchased a 300zx Z31 Brake Booster & Master Cylinder from a 1987 non turbo 5 speed.

I am putting it into my 95 S14 5 Speed non abs.

I'm pretty sure the BMC fits but will the booster also work for me?

ebay link for pics

they're actually pretty good
can get better gas mileage than KAs depending on how you drive
not cheapping out on maintenance and clean install is key
to a trouble free SR

camber bolts up front wouldn't be a bad idea either to dial in camber
while you're at it

why do you want to run that booster
looks like it takes a good amount of room and may
get in the way of things

looks like it'll bolt up though

SR's are one of the most reliable bulletproof engines you can get. I have had them in the three 180s that I owned. They will handle at least 300hp and 300ftlb torque on stock internals, just make sure to get rocker arm stoppers for high RPM activity. I never had any reliability issues.

from what i've read a z32 booster or an automatic 240 booster will give you a better pedal feel

i figured the z31 booster is the same as a z32 as far as feel goes...

Does anyone know if the long threaded bolt that comes off the power steering pump can be used for the alternator adjustment bolt?

For the engine maybe. For the Manual Transmission use 75w-90 GL4.

I wouldn't waste time with the Z31 booster as IIRC they are no different in the sense they are not dual diaphram (which is where the slightly increased feel is from) Check Z32 and some of the ABS S13/S14 cars for the dual booster.

IIRC The Z31 15/16 Master Cylinder is the largest MC that used a single diaphragm booster.

I've run the stock S14 (non abs) power booster on my 15/16th now for about 4 years, and have no complaints at all with the pedal feel...in fact it feels just like stock did. I personally didn't like the dual diaphragm feel, kinda mushy to me...way over assisted.

With that said the Z32 ones require 'fitting'...whereas the 240sx ABS cars do not...keep that in mind as well.

Also, the booster needs to be from an ABS car...Automatic/Non ABS cars used the single diaphragm just manual/non abs cars.

Nice, and all this with a 15/16 bmc and stock manual booster.? I'm currently upgrading brakes on mine. I was debating on keeping stock rear calipers or not, but right now I think im just going to do similar to yours. 15/16-manual booster, z32 30mm calipers and rotors, stock rear with altima rotor. You say the pedal feel is same to stock?
