I loved everything done to the car except for the power steering reservoir which although very nice, looked too store bought and drew too much attention from the engine bay. So I asked him to try and hide the tank near the radiator support and swan neck the filler cap. There was this odd cutout on the driver side front rail so he used it. This is what he came up with and I love it so much better. It's now an interesting detail instead of an afterthought IMO. Everything else was so custom and interesting that I felt the PS can derserved the same treatment.
The before first of course. Also, the coolant lines and swirl pot. The car comes home tomorrow for the first time in 2.5 years. |

this is one of the most fantastic and high quality builds on zilvia.
out of curiosity, why go with worm clamps instead of small t bolt clamps for the coolant hoses? |

Haha, yes, lots of updates.
First of all, I am now an official member of the Speedhunters family as a content provider which is an incredible honor! Here are my first two features. More to come. http://www.speedhunters.com/2021/04/...-z31-restomod/ http://www.speedhunters.com/2021/04/freed-engineering/ The chassis harness for the relays and lights etc is done being lengthened and snaked through the fenders and under the front lower rad support so now it will be completely invisible. The fuel lines are all run to the tank and I just need to put the flex fuel sensor in place. New pump is in the tank. The custom power steering reservoir was painted to match the car. All the exterior trim is on the car now except for the windshield trim as the glass will go back in last. Custom rear lower heim shock mounts are in and fixed all of the rear issues. The S13 lowers were binding on the rubber bushing due to the angle and the tube was touching one of the lower arm bolts. No more bind and clearance was vastly improved. Headlights are fully installed as is the bumper bar. I am hoping to get the fenders and front bumper back on the car this weekend. Tail lights are in and a friend who has done a lot of the custom fab and wiring is on the way now to help with more electrical as well as getting the rear hatch on the car. Next will be the engine harness and battery cables. |

I ended up taking the car to Driver Motorsports. They finished up all the final items needed to get the car running. There were a few issues that arose but it's all ready now.
There was an issue getting oil pressure even when priming the engine with oil at 80psi. Seems the oil pump had drained all of it's oil over 2 years of sitting. Eric at U. P. Garage told me the solution was to remove the plugs and oil filter, compress air into one breather while covering the other and then cranking the motor. Worked like a charm. So now everything is done except for the rear brakes which they will finish as soon as a few parts arrive. The remote base tune will be uploaded this weekend and I am going there on Monday morning to fire it up for the first time. It will be posted live to Driver Motorsports IG and YT. I also put my AMG Wagon on the dyno. 604 RWHP and 714 ft lbs! I tried to post some videos but not sure how to embed youtube videos here. |

Looks so good in the daylight! Can't wait to hear the RB with the ITB header combo. It's going to be next level.
Nice numbers on the E63! Thing is a torque monster, lol. |

Please please please get this car to ZCON this year. I would love to get my eyes on this thing and I'm willing to bet it would be a centerpiece if you did.

Unfortunately it won't make it to Zcon. I'm not taking it to SEMA either because I've spent too much finishing it. I cannot afford another 7k to go to the event.
Here is a running video. https://youtu.be/xuvIezKbdXY |

Number 5 wasn't firing. Header tube was cold. Swapped coils and nothing. Swapped plugs and it runs perfect.
