It's been three days since we've heard anything from Darkstar. This is the sort of updates and customer support that we're talking about.

Hey guys this is Edgar and I talked to Eric today for the first time in a while on the phone. I can vouch and say that he is awaiting on a phone call from the Importer since he was involved in the Hurricane. Eric and Jordan are doing everything they can and I hope everyone gets what they want here soon.
Thanks Edgar

I'm still waiting on my refund also.
I have sent several e-mails to Eric and Jordan in the last several weeks and all were returned "unable to deliver"... I want my refund now. |

A friend of mine who runs project240.com has dealt with the guy Eric is dealing with. He's a good buisness guy from my understanding. No it shouldn't have taken as long as it did just to get the container to the states, but shit happens. Have you ever done something that hasn't gone quite the way you wanted it to?
The problem we are a facing now is the guy may not have a house. I don't think he's too terribly worried about getting containers out to where they need to go. And communcation to Gulfport is sketchy at best. It may take 6 more months, it may only take till next week. I can bet that when Eric hears something, you'll be the next to know. They'll get them when they get them. I'm waiting on a motor too btw. So, I'm in the same boat as you are.

That's fine. Shit happens. I think we all understand that.
I know I do. But I also know that I can't wait any longer. The KA24 on my 240 blew its headgasket well over two months ago. I e-mailed Eric in August, telling him I'd have to ask for a refund if the engines didn't arrive by 30 August. 30 August came and went and I was still willing to wait for the engines. But after another week of waiting even I was done. I've been more than patient waiting for these engines. I understand that this groupbuy was a real life example of Murphy's Law. Now, I just want my refund. Now it's gotten to the point that I try to contact both Eric and Jordan for an update of my refund but my e-mails are returned undeliverable. And I still haven't heard anything from either person, whether it be through e-mail, PM, or here on the board. These guys have dropped off the face of the earth. I was more than patient, but I'm done now. I want a refund, which both Eric and Jordan promised me that I'd get. Ever since that promise was made I've been able to make absolutely ZERO contact with them. |

As far as refunds go, I can understand being kept in the dark is frustrating. But look at it this way, Your going to bring 30 or so motors. You can only do this by a presell, or groupbuy.
Now that you've paid for your container, you no longer have control of that money. So you wait. Things go wrong, and now you have 30 people jumpking down your throat about where the product is, or wanting a refund. The only thing you can do is tell them that you're working on it, and are doing so. There are some folks that have gotten refunds from Darkstar. I can bet that you are on the list as far as that goes. But as with money being tied up in this deal, they have to give refunds as money comes in, by working your ass off to make enough for each individual refund at a time. Not having the capitol to just throw around can be a bitch for a deal like this. Maybe they should have waited till they had capitol to do so, but then again they are trying to do a startup by offering the same type of product every other company in this field is offering, but at a much lower cost.
