Thanks. I used chemical stripper, and a wire brush to strip the old stuff off and get it back down to bare aluminum. I cleaned it with wax and grease remover, then did 3 coats of VHT wrinkle black and baked at 350 degrees. Turned out rather well imo.

My intake manifold powdercoated.

My valve covers are at a local tattoo shop. They are currently flat white and getting a treatment of japanese style tattoos all over them before they get cleared. the timing covers and coil pack covers are going to be a metallic purple.

Color is called "City Lights".

Mine. Coilpack cover isn't done yet. Looks incredible in the sunlight, lots of really fine metal flake. Also, as you can see in the pics, changes color from purple to a pinkish color depending what light it's under.

Its a technique called hydrodipping. Pretty cool actually, go check out some videos on Youtube.

Here's mine. Hulk green with black letters and center stripe, you can't see it but the aluminum shines through in some of the cracks.
