Universal part. Not exactly a concrete answer; there's no guarantee it fits. I was simply asking if anyone has found a viable solution; don't really want to be the guinea pig.

What are the most reputable JDM engine dealers in North America (Preferably on the East Coast)?

I've done a lot of searching, but for every good review, I find another bad one. I'm looking for an answer from somebody with a lot of experience in dealing with JDM engines.

My friend just bought a 95 se, its a very clean car but it does have its issues, one of which is the stereo. The factory headunit only worked when it wanted to, it would turn on but no sound (previous owner said it worked when it was hot) so we put in an aftermarket pioneer unit, we used the adapter harness thing you can buy at autozone so it IS wired properly. Now the radio turns on but doesn't give any sound. I was wondering if/where there are grounds I should check and if/where the factory amp is so I can check it.. Thanks

Did you check all the speakers first and make sure they are hooked up correctly?

S14DB has a very good point below.
But if it wasnt grounded would the unit even turn on?

Grounds to the Chassis. There is no ground in the harness. Even if the adapter includes one.

And i gave you a perfectly viable option.

Im just tired of your mentality of only doing shit someone else has done.
Its like a fucking 9 dollar bushing, buy one, see if it works, if not sell it.

done and done.

spoonfeeding should be left for babies and the disabled. Are you either of those?

Wait, so you've never bought anything without anyone else's opinion or review? This is a similar case. It's not a matter of doing something that someone else has already done. I'm trying to save time and money. Why waste my time with something that MIGHT work? Why would anyone? If you're attempting something that's never been done before, then more power to you. In this case, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has pondered this question before. I'm just trying to save myself time. Spoon feeding only occurs when you give a REAL answer, btw. As if I haven't looked in google. Hence why I asked HERE. You know, the Small Questions Thread. And thus far, you haven't provided any answers, just insults.

Ya the unit is properly grounded to the chassis, like I said the old radio would work on and off, it actually had sound for about 10 minutes after he bought the car and I'm assuming the new unit will do the same thing but idk. The radio ALWAYS turns on, but the speakers only work when they feel like it. The antenna isn't plugged in because of the whole weird 2 prong thing, I read somewhere that it acts as a ground as well but does it really matter? The radio doesn't even work with CD's..

I'm still in disbelief of wtf just happened but my wheel just ate the curb as I was parking and I'm gonna get it refinished but am unsure of whether they can match the original finish. The wheel face is machined. Will it be difficult to match the curbed area to the rest of the wheel? I'd just call the wheel repair places but it's obviously past business hours right now lol so if anyone could chime in here for now that'd be great, thx

Wheels are like so:

Anyone that uses 'you mad' is a pin-head IMO and isn't deserved of any help. Quit being a moron, use google, and find your answer. Trust me, it's there.

You'd need S14 spindles, S14 tie rods, etc etc. Get S13 ones.

Why not goto the wheel repair place and ask them? How are we ever going to know without seeing the wheel in real life, nor knowing the shop?

Call back and bother them. Our account is with a coorperate store, so that may be why. I just bought 3 bottles about a month ago so I know it exists, it may come through World-Pac though.

Goto Parts store and just get gasket paper and make your own. That's what I did and have done, as those gaskets are always on back order it seems. Did you try nissanparts.cc though? They may have it. Or even see if FRsport or someone may have it laying around.

I assume you're talking about on a draw test? Unsure why the alternator would be causing such a draw on the system unless you hae a wire crossed maybe?

Goto Nissan dealer, and order new nuts and the locking plates (1996 300zx turbo use as your car). You're going to need an intake as well. Also remember to get a Greddy o2 housing on the turbo before you install it.

You need to spend MUCH more time researching this thing; as the saying goes if you have to ask you can't afford it. These questions have been asked 100 times, search, read the stickies/FAQ's and go from there. Figure this way, easy 3-4 grand to make it all work decently for any swap

I know it may sound funny, but is that little clip on the starter signal still hooked up? It's the little spade setup...very common for it to come off.

Other than that, you obviously only have the other main wire to check for power. You can always take the starter out and take it to advance, IIRC they do testing for free. Or if you have a strong enough charger with jump start (you need the amps) you can make it work on a bunch as well.

You would need to install S13 ball joints into the S14 LCA to use the S13 spindles. Otherwise you have to use the S14 spindle.

The question isn't of price, if I have to get one I will. I have two jobs, one for bills, one for play. I'll give searching another shot, but I came up with all these thread that didn't seem relevant to the answer I'm searching for.
