So broke them down and slapped them in the sand blaster.

Primerd and coated them

Been reading this thread since yesterday (8/13/2015) while at work lol, also read the one on your four door... amazing cars, Japan looks beautiful... this motivates me to save more money for my car lol... I am saving for an R33 GTR when they become legal, in the meantime, got an S13 Silvia... its a bitch trying to find ARC and HKS parts for my car, especially since its a CA18DET LOL.

Yeah ARC parts here are kinda hard to find as well. Some occasionally pop up but they end up being pricey :/

Soo it looks like the swap is gonna be postponed till I get back to the states now since for 6 months im gonna be not in Misawa..... But as long as I have internet Im still gonna be ordering parts lol

Cash is tight right now since I have 4 Inspections due in the next 4 months for the GTR, 4Door, Cedric, and Truck..... inspection cost are right around $500 each and Ill be going to Tokyo to climb Fuji-San next week.....Fuuuuuccckkk

EDIT: well looks like the GTR is gonna go into hibernation in 1 week. After thinking about it its gonna be pretty waste ful and pointless to spend $500 on an inspection when ill only be able to drive it for a few months. SO I will de reg the GTR, JCI the 4 Door and drive that until its time to go.

Got a Small update.

Got the head back from the machine shop. JUN VG installed, Head Mill'd and Super Tech Valves lapped. I want to lap the valves myself but they said they would only charge me 5,000Y sooo I let them do that haha

Just need to order the Tomei Type B Valve spring kit and then I can slap it back together.

Then got the rear calipers sand blasted, painted and rebuilt.

They don't have a wash tank or anything. But also as a liability they wont clean it.

Cuz they don't wanna guarantee its 100% clean and risk there are still shavings in it and cause engine failure and be held responsible.

So they leave cleaning it up to the owner. Hell even if they did clean it I would still clean it myself for my own satisfaction.

^not really, been there and they're pretty chill so long as you don't act like a total dumb ass.
I mean culturally they're are pretty homogeneous, but they're not gonna like beat you up or anything.
A few of them were pretty nice to me when I was there, but you can't expect everyone to be nice.
Nicer people are found in the lower rung, the more pretentious reserved folks are the businessmen you meet on trains and such.
If you go, don't make us look bad.

I think its worth going just so you can visit family mart

So I bought another GTR..... or what's left of one at least.

Dosnt look like much but has a lot of the small spare parts I want and can swap the chassis harness onto the 4 Door when I do the RB26 swap.

The left rear quarter panel is smashed, also smashed the traction and RUCA. hopefully the rear subframe is still good.

I got too many cars so not gonna try to do anything but chop this one up.
