alright thanks! i think i got all my vacuum hoses hooked up correctly. i also have the tube from the air box to the aiv box. i think i'm ready to smog then. wish me luck!

^ thanks for the picture. yup, i have that after seeking out the tube for weeks. i wasn't sure if autozone sells it, but i ended up buying it from a fellow zilvia member.

Anyone know of a motor right now? Need it local, reliable, and fair price. Twin cam or single cam... Doesn't matter. I need it to be in running condition! Trans would be nice too!

Almost done with my commuter build..getting it prepped....since you guys are all mostly in sac and will probably see it around....what color should it be?

before some smart alec says "its your car, paint it what you want" I'm just trying to start conversation in this "dead thread" and see what your opinions are....its obvious by my post count I don't post much but i do however lurk for days...

This is the car I bought, then picked up a C-west kit on craigslist so I could drive it around looking somewhat okay...kits for sale btw


I rebuilt an extra sohc i bought and put it in....


My other car is vertex kitted so i thought i'd vertex this car out too so I bought the s13 ridge kit from vertex-usa..i ordered, they hand made it in japan, and i had it in two weeks, crazy huh?


Searched the web to see what I could find as far as s13's fitted with this kit.... I wanted to either paint it white, gray, charcoal, or black...and what do you know I actually found pics with those colors...well close enough..

Car will be finished with aesthetics in mind....i will try to make the car look as clean as possible - going to attempt at making it classy but obviously the kit is aggressive so I think execution of everything will play a role...ie height, wheels, etc...

siksyndicate with an awesome kit like that your gunna wanna feature the kit and its clean lines...black will definitely hide that. I like a light silverish gunmetal if that makes sense, not too wild, chill kinda color to bring out your aero.

Im finally ready to mobb the streets....looks like we need to do a bbq/meet soon! I got a couple of mutual sacramento places in mind.

Anyone down for like a weekly small chill thursday night meet soon? I know they are almost done with the In & Out in Arden im sure that would be a cool spot. Im cool off thoes huge craigslist style meets I like the more smaller chiller spots.

@knuckles gunmetal light silver is in my options as well since its in the gray category. I was thinking of playing the kit down a bit since it looks aggressive from some angles.

@nurvcom i work a lot and it has taken almost two years to get it to where I am now. The car was pretty much trash when I took ownership. I don't like going to meets where all the rides are busted up. Not trying to be a snob or anything and I understand it takes time and $$$ to make clean builds but I don't want to associate myself with hackjobs and haphazardly built cars. If I'm going to show up somewhere I'd like to meet owners like myself who take pride in what they put together. I'm not saying you've gotta own 10k+ car I'm just saying cars put together in a tasteful way. I'll probably get crap for writing all that but oh well. It's just my preference and only mine. I'm in no way devaluing anyone's ride.

For your sr.... Try Ron at Venus auto. He's a no nonsense kind of guy.

Go there and speak to Ron don't tell him you've emailed them. tell him what you are willing to pay, I got a really good deal when I actually walked in and have had nothing but good dealings with them from my integra type r front clip in 05 to my convertible s13 that I got a neo for in 08.

I'll say this right now, FUCK Venus... That place is a rip off... I called them and he told me $2200 for a redtop! WTF. On top of that, he said there is NO WARRANTY! I asked why and he said, "I guess I can give you like 2 weeks warranty..." Lol? Wtf?



Btw.... Sunrise Nissan Dismantler's on Sunrise by pick and pull has a Redtop for 800. Includes 90 warranty, turbo, ecu, and harness... Go with that. way better than Venus. Does't have a trans. but you can find an SR bellhousing that fights a KA tranny for about 80 bucks...
