No, I'm not a lawyer. The summary was done by someone in another board.
Everything in that is bullshit. They are trying to make it so you can't even take a friend to the range. Canada shut down their registry because it is costly and doesn't do shit to effect crime. The fact is crime is decreasing across the board and doing nothing in respects to gun control would be better that placing feel good bandaids that inconvience law abiding gun owners. Democrats need to focus there political capital on the debt cealing battle, immigration reform, climate change and social progams than follow this loser. |

New York passed a ban on all magazines over 7rds and you have to registrar all rifles with pistol grips, which are now also banned.
You have 1 year to sell every thing off. Last edited by Corbic; 01-15-2013 at 10:09 AM.. |

This is ludicrous. My bet is that they only stop when magazines are illegal and you are only allowed one in the chamber. I just don't understand why they are doing any of this...
With only 7 rounds you better hope that the burglar is (alone for one thing) either really fat or really slow.

So in 5 years when 7rds is the norm, and people are still finding creative ways to kill each other, your right, they'll ban magazines all together. Then they will say "we'll who hunts out past 100 yards any ways..." and we will see a "sniper rifle" ban.... And before you know it, we will end up like England. You can buy one of 30 approved firearms and then have it kept at your certified government controlled shooting range. You check it out of the armory, fire your obseenly over taxed ammunition and return it to the armorer when done....see 2nd amendment in tack - you can still own a gun. Irony is if the liberals used the same standard of interpratation on the 2nd amendment as they do on the 1st, it would be our right to own nuclear warheads. |

I posted this in other thread but thought I should share in right thread.
Even though I am very surprised by living in liberal state, I do feel very proud of this Oregon Linn County Sheriff and do support our 2nd amendment till the end of this Government non-sense. https://www.facebook.com/TheLarsLarsonShow |

I really think the states changing their laws before a federal change is a sure sign that they are scared that the shit won't fly in congress.
Senators are flying back to their states to drum up support to change gun laws. Funny thing is that states out west are considering reducing restrictions...

New York passed the law so quickly that they forgot to include a Law Enforcement Officer exemption.
I guess NYPD will have to go back to 6 shooters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rRSU...ature=youtu.be |

^ if that is true, then anyone arrested in NY can basically get off free of charge because an officer carrying was breaking the law during the arrest, right?

They will just amend an exemption before the law goes into effect. The point is that they rushed this bullshit through because any debate would have shown the law is stupid. The law allows grandfathered 10rd mags so the next time you're at the range and fire off that illegal 8th shot you just commited a misdemenor.

Obama's Executive Orders are pretty harmless so the attention should be put on killing any legistlation. Seriously, write your congesscritters.
•Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system. •Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance •Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system. •Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. •Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. •Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. •Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers. •Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. •Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission). •Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations. •Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement. •Nominate an ATF director. •Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations. •Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. •Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. •Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies. •Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. •Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. •Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. •Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. •Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. •Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. •Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. •Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health |

So what is he going to do about the ATF giving guns to known criminals and the estimated 2,400 innocemt Mexucans murdered by tge ATFs program?
Once again all this proves is if you want an issue to get attention kill some white kids. No one cared about violence in schools till Collumbine even the inner cities had been dealing with it for 30 years. In the last 3 years 270 kids where murdered in Chicago. 107 last year alone. But I'm sure they where all black so who fucking cares, right? |

When Obummer said '900 of our fellow Americans killed by guns already this year' I really wonder how many of those were killed in self defense...

The guy is a total fucking scumbag. I remember clear as a bell the whole "guns and bibles" comment from 2007 and how his team spun that as Republican shenanagans and how he was pro 2nd Admendment and would only ever consider extending the 10 year AWB. Fucking bullshit. This is the real Obmao. |

I don't mind some of the EO's but why have a research done on gun violence? Violence is fucking violence. If the guy would've used a knife at sandy hook it could've been even worse than with a gun. No one would've known shit was happening until he got into their door. Ugh. Fuck our government. I fought for our country not our government and that's why I got out of the military.
