Had some of my colleagues tig on some bracing I made... I tried to trianglate it to the turbo flange as best I could, It's hard because of spacial constraints. The Leg with the bolt hole bolts to a tab on the motor mount.

Put the ARP studs in:

Mounted the manifold FOR REAL!

(12 point 10mm nuts are so much easier to wrench on than 6 point 12mm nuts)

Looped the heater lines:

If you ignore the fact that aluminum is a better conductor than steel, It's really no different having the exhaust right behind the tunnel than right under the floor.

If there had been a factory tunnel in the car that was the shape of the new tunnel, the thought about it getting hot in the car wouldn't even cross anyones mind, simply because you can remove the tunnel and SEE where the exhaust is really freaks people out.

It's REALLY not that different from my subaru where the downpipe ran RIGHT down the firewall then tucked right into the trans tunnel area. Yet I get about 5 comments a week about how it's going to be SOOOO INSANELY HOT IN THERE...

don't worry about it man, they gave me the same shit when I built that Aluminum Exhaust, that it was going to melt and crack because it was so brittle and soft. ehm almost 6 months later, a few drift events and a couple wrecks. no cracks or melting. haha

My bad, I wasn't explaining clear enough, there's no problem with that downpipe running down past that firewall, my concern was just with the rocker cover paint being bubbled or of some sort and those lines from the rocker cover. I was wondering if you ad a solution, from what it looks like to me it looks scary to those parts.

Oh, I'm actually going to loosen the turbo mounting bolts and rotate the whole assembly slightly. You can see in this old pic I had a little more clearance...

(I am probably going to wrap the DP anyway, though)
