Sarcasm aimed at knockoff oil cap. But with a little bit of truth- Unintentional or not...
True story: I ran one back in the day on my 180SX in Okinawa: After a few months, one night my oil light came on while drag racing... Popped hood- that very same Ebay knockoff cap that you guys have on there was gone! Luckily, for some stupid reason I still happened to have the OEM oil cap in my trunk... Found it the next day wedged between my motor mount, turbine and engine block... Never used it again.

Wow I've never seen so much fuss over an oil cap. Mine fits fine and is hard as hell to get off lol

It was a joke, silly.
That being said, I purchased one of these authentic Nismo caps, only to find out it is just a billet cover stuck on top of the regular Nissan cap. What a ripoff. Wish I had seen this picture before purchasing it. |

2. Unlike run-of-mill SR/RB oil caps, it ratchets- keeps from overtightening and ruining seal(s). 3. Looks awesome on a clean motor: becausenismo @Michaelwinn: You sir, will find reason to fuss over an oil cap the day you pop the hood and realize the cap came off... I sincerely hope this never happens to you... but at the same time, this little excursion off-topic is a great illustration of why there are certain, very important things that one should not skimp on.

Maybe I'm a little confused, but other than the potential of a little oil mess, what would be the big deal of it coming off? Like obviously you would need a new cap, which everyone should keep the stock one I would imagine, but it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal lol but mines nice and tight.
