took a few slow drinks to get adjusted to it, great aroma, full bold flavor. excellent head retention (giggity). a little on the heavy side but its to be expected of an ale. expensive as fuck. makes Tecate taste even more watery! my face is still numb. 8/10!

Roc Brewing in Rochester NY sucks. I drank a chemical sanitiser tasting R-IPA and was told my taste buds were off. WRONG. Their mild was ok

Naked Dove up in Canadaigua NY was pretty good. THeir Scotch Ale and Porter were nice. Shame they can't switch places/facilities.

BONUS: Earle Estate Meadery was ok. I still don't get Mead though.

Um

Can't wait for my sixtel of Nugget Nectar

Um....

This years Hopslam isn't as good as last years

Um...
Belgium Comes to West Chester was sort of a let down. Maybe I'm getting too snobby

Favorites of the Event:
New Holland - Blue Sunday.
Funky, Oakey, and Sour. Worked pretty well IMo, but still kinda messy.

Peekskill - Saison de Cheif:
Nice little Saison from the former Ithica brewer. Can't complain for it being his first run with new stuff. Loved it.

Most of the Iron Hill stuff was kinda bland, Quadfather was a booze Bomb, FE 15 tasted like sock juice.

...uuuuuuuuh

Shelton Brothers Event at TJ's Everyday in Paoli PA was 100% better
Link: Shelton Brothers take over TJ's - January 28, 2012 - BeerAdvocate

Favorites:
DeMolen - Hel & Verdomenis, super good. Why wouldn't it be.

Cantillon - Rose de Gambrinus, super tart goodness. Love it. had it before, will have it any time it's ever on draft, ever again.

Mikkeller - Boogoop Cool stuff, overpriced, but Gypsie beer rocks.

So my brain is all over. I'm going to copy paste this on another beer thread, that's how lame I am. Currently drinking a F.F. Copolla Pinot Noir (oh wait, that's not beer)....oh well.

sipping on some of this right now

Tweason'ale by dogfish head

smells dark, sweet, and fruity

tastes of honey, molasses, and real strawberries. No fake flavors here.

good beer and its even gluten free. I guess its brewed with sorghum (whatever that is) rather then barley

Freshly twenty-one as of a week today. I had a girl tell me that men go through a beer expert phase where we all find our way in life with beer. its been true. i love a good amber ale and am still on the search for the destined brew that suits me.

They key is to try as much as you can, and to never write off a style. Without a doubt tastebuds change. I used to not be a hop fan, now I can't get enough...whereas my desire for big stouts has faded away for a little.

Had this the other day at the Taphouse in Hampton, VA. It's delicious, although my only gripe would be that it's almost too smooth, to the point it's nearly syrupy. Stone Smoked Porter is always a winner, too.

Victory Brewing is by far one of my favorites breweries. Luckily i am local as well.

Big fan of their headwaters pale ale for summer drinking.

Golden monkey is another favorite as well.

I am a hophead.

Currently i am brewing my own East Coast IPA which is similar to umm... a dogfishead 60 minute.

Dogfishead is by far my favorite IPA right now... so crisp and hoppy. MMM i love it.

beer

^^^Just drank a hopslam with my burger before yesterday.
It took me a while to get used to american beers; especially, ipa. I used to find them metallic with no balance. Now that I'm used to it, I can appreciate a good ipa. I was raised on belgian trappist beers and will always love them. My favorites belgian beers are Guezes, sour beers. I just had a Fantome de Noel last week.YUM! I can't afford to open my Cantillons anytime I want. I have to make sure I find a new one before opening what I have in stock.
This is a site that I use to find out who's serving what in my neighborhood. You can always select your city to see who has very cool beers.

Ok, so I've been working at local liquor store with a huge wine cellar and recently store started carrying more beers, now having over more than 100 micro brews! I had a bit of a buying trying binge with employee discount and came across a few good ones. But one that stood out was the "allagash curieux."
It is a trippel aged in Jim beam barrels. This beer had a great aroma. It was golden in color with a large white fluffy head. Overall good beer with some great attributes. Only downfall is the price tag. But given a chance and well worth it

Allagash Curieux is a very good beer. One of my favorites.I still have some Allagash beers.

I do have a lot of beers. I'm just waiting for spring to have my friends over, so we can drink some of the beers.
From the fridge:

Some of the beers I have in my cellar:

My favorites italian beers:

Some mixed beers and sours:

Gotta have:

Sam Adams

Firestone

Have to have this in Chitown:

Some North Coast

Some Dogfish Head

Founders

Should always have a beer in the right glass.

This is what I love to end my day with.

I have a lot more beers in my fridge in the garage, mostly real belgian beers, but my wine collection is much more and much better. It always good to have a good beer to relax you at the end of the day
I hope to have some Sam Adams Utopia to drink tonight.

Cigars

^^^Don't go there man. My best friend sells cigars. She has an amazing selection.
I did have the Allagash 4. It's very complex. A little on the sweet malty side with candied fruits. The Allagash Curieux is still my favorite.
Just came back from 5 course beer diner at the Foundry. Chef Chad did an amazing job pairing beer with all the courses. The presentation was very beautiful. My favorite parts was the 7 layers chocolate cake with Foreign Extra Stout Guinness.
