That is a open R32 diff. Unless he can spot a spot on the cover where there was a rectangular sticker that said VLSD on it. They're identical to S13 diffs. Only difference may be gear ratio. No true way to tell if it's anything special without cracking it open or doing a couple other tests. He's have to stick some axles in there to tell if it was VLSD, without cracking it open. What's the big deal about cracking it open anyway? There's probably no fluid in it anyway. Diffs can't be shipped from Japan with fluid in them. What exactly do you need to know?

well, based on the seller, it's a vlsd, he just claims it came from a skyline, but isnt positive...i just want to know what R&P it has inside and i agree with you, taking a few bolts off to see isnt the end of the world...

If he had some axles laying around he could tell you without cracking it open. I did it all the time at JHot.

I tried looking it up, but all of the pictures I found were chouki sides I guess. The cars with S13 sides nearly look like they don't have side skirts

Yeah a lot of companies sell chuki sides as silvia side because 180's in general were obviously much more popular than coupes and chuki sides are way easier to find. Hence them making them up to 98.
The reason I like silvia sides on coupes is because they dont draw your eye to them like chuki skirts.

Hopefully my post clears things up for some people.
