Ok, Bros. I need a bit of help. I'm a bit torn on what size tire to run with these new wheels I just bought.

Sizes are 17x9 +15, 17x10 +15. Up front I will probably run a 215/40, but in the rear I have no idea.

Camber is not an issue, but the less camber, the better. Lips are rolled, but I do not want any pulling whatsoever.

What should I run? 235/40? 225/45? 215/45? I don't want a tall tire because I want this car to be as low as possible. With that said, these are Megan Track coilovers and they are already maxxed out with no collars.

Thanks, bros.

If you're not running federals (and i pray you arent) i'd go with 235/40s.

215/40 will be excellent up front if you look above thats a 215/45 max camber on megans up front same size/offset as you.
The rears i'm not too sure but 235/40 may fit depending on tires. but i'll let someone else chime in.

Shit. It's just that federals run stupid huge and because of that, calculating stretch on them is annoying. The stretch isnt all that much with 215s on the 9's. But if you're cool with how it looks, then its all good.

If you're sticking with feddies, just run 215/45 on the rear.

I run on 215/45 federals on a 17x9 and it barely stretches. I would go either 215/40 or 205/45 for the front atleast

I'm more concerned on the rears. The fronts are not a big deal. I run a 215/45 on a 9 right now.

I just don't know what to run on my 10js.

Don't run 235/40/17 Federal 595s on the 17x10s if you want a stretch.

The Federal 595s in 235/40/17s are like the widest 235/40/17s I've ever seen. It's like 10 wide from sidewall to sidewall.

Heres a 235/40 fed on 17x9.5 +15, natural camber

Old pic:

I wanna get it pulled, but it has to look good. Not a major pull either.

Hope that helps a little.

215/40 or 205/40 for the front

i run 205/40 595 up front on a 9, its a pretty good stretch but it allows to tuck tire pretty hard in the front.

also for the rear, i would probably go with a 225/40, or maybe a 35?
its hard to find 35 side wall in 17s though.

either way i would avoid 45 sidewall all around, its usually a huge disappointment especially with federals.

i can snap a pic of my 205/40 on a 9 if you need to see one.

215/40 front
215/45 rear.

can't go wrong

icedsole - you have a 205/40 on fronts? LOL. I had that when I FIRST got my S14. BFG Ta KD or something. What tires are you running for fronts.

215/40 Federals are tiny. double lol

i have to run 20 mils to clear brembos, and im maxed out camber, and its barley under the fender,
right now just running 595's, i want to try a 215 in a better tire. like maybe a dunlop or azenis and see how that goes.

damn. I know how small the 215/40 595 is.... I can't imagine the 205/40. LOL

If you want a really grippy tire, I suggest the Dunlop Star Spec Direzza. I use those and they are reallllly sticky. (I kind of DON'T like them becuase of it actually)

Teddy, just like everybody said, stay away from Feddies 235/40/17's.

I had them on the rear of my VS-XX and HATED them.

215/40/17's on a 9" is alright. The stretch was kind of odd, but it was a good stretch.

I'd strongly suggest Dunlop Direzza Star Specs.

Or, if you're looking for a nice clean stretch, run FK452's in 215/40 fronts and 235/40 rears.

Digging into my old ass photobucket pictures.

Here's a Goodyear Eagle F1 235/40 on a 17x10 +12.

Loved this stretch.

It's thick and nasty looking (imo).

If I would've ran a 235/40 FK452 instead of the Federal, I would've been able to run less camber and had more wheel poke.

I'll never run Federal's again.

Too bad the only tires you can find in 225/40/17 suck.

I used to have 215/45 federal up front but it sat too high. 215/40 and 235/40 17 on 9 and 10 federals look perfect on my car.

The icing was that I got al 4 tires for $220 mounted and balanced when citytireonline had those prices.
