N00b question, can I clear my 30mm z32 brakes on my s13 if I use 15x8 -30 without any major camber or fender modification? Apreciate it ahead of time.

Suspension Question

would these POWER MOVE!: Era1 drop spindle kit fix chassis geometry by themselves or will they need PBM rear subframe spacers as well? or if both combined would it mess up the cars geometry all together from both PBM and the era1 combined?

Can you adjust the camber on an S14 with all stock suspension parts except coilovers? If so, how much negative camber can you max out at?

If your coilovers have camber plates on them that would allow you to adjust the front camber only otherwise you couldn't really adjust the rear camber can not be adjusted with stock arms

FWIW: I can't stand MAP based turbo cars at streetable levels.

Reground the MAF to the chassis. Google it. If it turns on and shuts right off I'm still puttin gmoney on sensor related, not timing.

The spindles will help fix, the risers just furhter help the rear.

I have Stance GR+ Pro coilovers. Not 100% if they have camber plates on them. If I just want to adjust the camber do all I need is aftermarket arms?

Gauges.

How good of quality are Apexi gauges?
I would think pretty decent since it's Apexi, but I never hear or see anything about them.

Also, what gauges are worth using? I was planning on boost, water temp, and oil pressure. It seems like most people run the first two and then use oil temp instead of oil pressure. I had heard your water temp and oil temp would be similar at most times, false? Is an oil pressure gauge not as important as I'm thinking it is?

Thanks

GR+ Pro should have front camber plates, so you should be able to adjust your front camber without a problem. Rear, you should be able to adjust camber to a certain point, but it'll be hard to have low camber or 0 toe. When I had stock RUCAs I was at -7* camber, and some stupid amount of toe. I had to get adjustable arms to lessen that.

I just tightened (or tried to) tighten my transmission in today, and 3 of the 4 bolts were a bastard to get even threaded. Only one went on all the way, the other 3 wouldn't even seat against the crossmember. What's going on here? It stays in place but like I said 3 bolts aren't tightened down. I hope I didn't strip anything. They started to go in, then decided they wanted to not.

Check the heater hoses going into the firewall, there should be two. Those two lines hold coolant and the lines are directly on top of each other.

Anyone run into any mechanical problems or have cons when removing your clutch dampener box? Planning to remove it today since I just replaced the master clutch cylinder and slave, and need to do bleeding. I understand it'll be firmer (and some prefer it) but could anything go wrong?

As aboev they will work but you'll really need to play with them to set them. Best bet is to goto a lot and see when the rear locks up...you want it to be to your preference obviously, but I like them equal or even a slight rear lock before front (have a friend verify)

Was going to install nismo tstat today in sr20 noticed some slight corrosion in the housing anything i can soak it in to get rid of the corrosion? I plan on getting a radiator flush kit and flushing it when I get it all back together.

Cool thanks.

New question, KAE and DE transmissions. 240 to truck are they different ratios? It would seem the truck would have longer gears but top speed would lack?

Sounds like a matter of opinion, we cant answer that here.
You can ask what companies make Kouki s13 replica aero, and look through them allowing you to decide "the best" for yourself.

First of all, everything Apex'i makes is high quality, just as good as HKS, blitz, etc.

Another question that sounds more like it wants opinion.
You want the lowest?
You want the cheapest?
You prefer side/bottom mount?
You want the brand that matches your seat?
You want someones opinion on what they think is best?

Come on people you gotta work with us with these questions.

As far as i know there are no years of BMW rims that are 5x114, so no.
There are companies that make 5x114 to 5x120 adapter/spacers, however is you ask me what companies they are without typing it into google first I will overnight a honey badger to your house, and tell it you have honey.

You guys make me feel all

These questions are

im not a stranger to 240s and i have searched google and this sight and im stumped...but i just did a 5speed swap to my 92 SE and now she idles at damn near 1500rpms and i dont know why. the idler screw is all the way in and it still does the same thing. i also checked mythrottle cable and cruise control cable and there both fine. i also still have the auto ECU. 2nd i put in a brand new clutch and now i hear sort of a buzzing noise coming from the tranny near the flywheel. it sounds like the throwout bearing but i dont understand how when its new. you mostly hear it in neutral and when you accelerating in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. you dont hear it in 4th and 5th. any impu would be appreciated

Depends where the leak is from, and how bad it is... I usually only hear of people using Lucas in their oil if the engine is burning oil.

this is going to sound stupid as fuck,

but i just disassembled my extra s13 rear subframe/ suspension.

now i have the axle/axle housing/ hub/ lower control arm still together.

i want them apart

HOW THE HELL DO I GET THIS DAMN AXLE NUT OFF?!??

the axle keeps spinning and i obviously cant break it loose with the pos spinning,
i tried to get crafty and bolt my fender roller to it so i could use my legs/ weight to hold it and my upper body with a breaker bar but no luck.

any ideas? i dgaf about everything except the axle housing as id like to cut it for a dual caliper bracker, powdercoat it, replace the bushings, get new axles and components and 5 lug hubs to go with the other new suspendion parts.

ideas? im super frusterated right now, almost to the point of saying fuck it and just ordering some from a sslvage yard.

just seems like a waste because my dumbass couldnt get the perfect ones i got free from the 20 yr old bullshit
