Well I just killed my motor last night doing a drift demo with Forrest Wang at the Bulling, Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a super modified/midget crowd of about 3500 people. I had the throttle pinned for about 5 mins straight temps soared and fucked up my motor. Going to try to swap in a built motor before the Pro ams next week. Wish me luck!

I haven't updated in a while. I am rebuilding again for next season and started the tear down re-build process.

new turbo parts ordered:

Full Race twin scroll T3 manifold, dual wastegates
2 38 mm Tial MVS wastegates Blue with Full Race Logo
SR20 RWD Downpipe for twinscroll T3 dual wastegate
Garrett GT3071R turbo t3 .78 AR twin scroll housing 3" v band
rc engineering 750 cc injectors
Tial Q BOV blue

already installed the power fc

Stripped the car back down to a bare chassis and took out all of the wiring. Painted the engine bay and interior white.

finally cut out the rear fenders, btw don't copy this method it is the wrong way to weld the seam:

the beautiful Teah welding the other side, she has put in as many hours as myself on this rebuild.
Note the proper safety attire:

The new dual 38mm wastegate setup:

started prepping the spindles and LCA's for the PBM steering mod, waiting on the parts to begin welding them.

began the wiring process:

weatherpacking all connections, and making sub harnesses for dash and front and rear...

new engine harness:

Started the V mount:

Gussets on the V mount, yes gussets...

BMC, CMC and lines covered in heat shielding

New gauge and switch setup on dash

new gauge cluster

this is what I made to mount the fuse block, relays for turn signals and brakes, and the ecu and ignitor chip.

mounted above passenger floorboard on the firewall, below cut off switch

continuing the V mount

here we cut off the original filler neck and overflow connection and blocked it off, every thing will be done from the coolant expansion tank.

-16 AN on the upper radiator hose connection.

-16 AN on the motor side waterneck with a tap for the coolant expansion tank.

all of the gauges and stereo hooked up, plugged in and working

gauge cluster...switches on bottom right are turn signals and hazzards

thats it for now, more to come soon!

so got the motor back in, turbo and exhasut manifold and wastegates on. AN fittings on the oil return line. All turbo lines on, heat shielding on the lines, and reclocked the turbo.

left my camera at home so I apologize for the blurry cell phone pics.

using sway bar brackets to mount radiator in bushings to reduce vibrations.

more to come...

when you have a twin scroll manifold, it takes advantage of the divided pulse of an inline four's firing sequence to increase the spool time of the turbo.

The old design put the wastegate in between the two divided chambers releasing some from both chambers, the new design puts one waste gate per chamber, allowing for a much smoother and faster release.

plus it looks badass

im actually somewhat impressed by the 3rd page of this thread, at the 1st i was a little weary on how much of a "track car" it was going to be and its turned out great. Starting off simple and moving forward the more you drive it is the way a lot of guys should do it instead of trying to have it all done at once.

Again, keep up the good work.
