See!

In 2002 they where an absolute joke and cost like $400 a set.

Now in 2015, your defending them and they cost a lot more than $400. ($1,500 now?)

most of what I have seen is right around the 900-1k mark.

a true offender is comis wheels. I see them right around the 1300 mark.. its sad that people actually buy and support them. I just bought some brand new rays (cast) wheels for 1300 shipped.

Ummmm THAT vehicle is over 25 years old and has a niche market. I'm sure a roll on paint job is fine for it. Nothing at all like the 240 tho...

Looks good for two weeks and takes hundreds of hours to do properly.

Better off buying a $20 harbor fright gun, $180 compressor and $60 of commercial grade Single Stage Paint.

Rustoleum will fade quickly and then shrink, and then peel. It does not have good UV protection built in like a 2k clearcoat. It's also not nearly as flexible as real automotive paint... Just a waste of time for a crap paint job. It's okay for a trailer floor or something that doesn't matter- and even then, a 2k heavy duty farm/tractor enamel is way better.

Garage Kept and driven 2,500 miles a year with regular waxing?

It's enamel paint, even sprayed it looks like shit by the end of the first year.

This is why no one uses it, regardless of regulations.

Holy shit, I checked some of their prices and you're not even exaggerating by much. Their RE30 knockoff costs about 212 euro per wheel, which is almost $1000 USD for a set... of fucking Rotas.

I remember 10 years ago a set of rota p45r's were about $800 new. I'd say $1000 isnt too unreasonable of an increase over 10 years.

But yeah there are way better wheels to buy in that price range (rpf1, gram lights, r33 wheels, etc.)

The point of the vomit green hatch wasn't to champion roller paint jobs. It was to show that some idiot painted a car with house paint in a backyard and it came out as shitty as you would imagine.

We are Philippine Aluminum Wheels, Inc. (PAWI). The Philippines' pioneer and leading alloy wheel manufacturer. And consistently listed in the country's top 600 corporations.
Since we started more than 30 years ago, we have specialized in only one product - Rota alloy wheel.

quick releases are extreme fanboy status there is no purpose to them on a street car. Like...... your'e not an indy 500 driver, relax mate, and if you are that obese, that you need to go to the extreme of snapping your steering wheel off just so you can get in your car, maybe you should be walking instead of driving lmao. Quick release is Race Car bro.

Race

Car

Yes, the purpose is for track cars that have fixed location buckets. They are impossible to get in and out of with the steering wheel.

But people want that shit for the street because their 2forty is a race car.
