I need to adjust my driver side door, because it hits the skirt. Does anyone know how to adjust the door?

Am I supposed to loosed the hinges and move it up? That is my thinking because I doubt you adjust the way the door swings by adjusting the striker.

240's don't have any door adjustment provisions. You bolt them on and hope they line up. If they don't, you can try loosening the bolts a bit, hold the door in a new position, then bolt it down. It probably won't work. It is usually just sag you have to correct with a little muscle. You can carefully pry up on the door to tweak it into the desired location (that's how the pros do it). With a little forceful encouragement in the right areas, your doors will line up.

So it sags because my hinges are bad? I might have to try lifting on the door to get it not to hit my sideskirts. and not bang when I close it.

i bought new hinges when my car was repainted, theyre not uber expensive, and who doesnt want that nice showroom door-closing action. it took 2 attempts to line up my doors properly with them. its all trial and error.

yeah my s13 the front corner like digs in every time i open/close the door. Since its misaligned it also false-fully closes sometimes and ill come back to see the door propped open.

u sure? when i did my fender braces i could have sworn the door hinges had a few mm's of extra room for the door to be moved around/angled right. COULD BE WRONG though, it was super late and i was frustrated so i did force lots of things

You need to replace the hinge pins, and bushings. the bushings wear out allowing the door to sag. They arent outrageous money, i have ordered a set for my s13 from the dealer. I did find them afterwards in the HELP! section at my local pepboy for much cheaper. They are kind of a bitch to replace, good luck!!!

I had new door hinges on the white car and it was fucking awesome. Totally made the car not feel like an 15 year old piece of shit since the doors closed properly.
