Heh, I'm actually talking about 90% of Philly's S13/S14 owners with a clear frontrunner in mind. *nudge nudge*

right. so instead of say a 205 in the front and 215 in the rear i would run on an 8" wheel, i could prob get away with a 195 in front and 205 in the rear? i really appreciate it.

i need your opinion, i'm going to buy a set p45r staggered (9Front/9.5Back) 17" 4x114.3, what messure you will choose? 225/40 in the front 235/40 in the back, does this qualified as stretch? other says 235/40 front and 255/40 back?

No one makes a 225/40/17 tire that's worth a damn.
Your only logical choice out front would be a 205/40, 215/45 or 215/40, or 235/40. 225/45 is doable up front, but it's generally way too tall a tire. The rear tires aren't as important as the fronts. |

Um.
Sure. If you don't want to go low, then 225/45 is fine up front. If you want to go low then 215/40 or even 205/40 would be the ticket. If you want to go low but have more grip than 215/40s can offer you, then 235/40 is the next best thing. 225/45s are almost 25" in overall diameter, while 235/40s are around 24.4". That's the difference between rubbing on absolutely everything when you're just thinking about turning, versus actually turning and not rubbing much of anything (as long as you have introduced the BFH to the fender well before fitting the 235/40s on there). |
